According to Thelon of Havenwood's flavor text, the Thallids also survived after the fall and were the only other race on the island of Sarpadia to not be exterminated by the Thrulls. My headcanon suggests that it's because of their common origin.

I actually never knew the full story of Fallen Empires as a set until watching your video. It certainly scratches that itch I feel I haven't seen in a long while. There was no, "And then the good guys stop the evil and return to the status quo", just simply five empires and how each of them fell apart.

Sarpadia is really depressing. It's a land of the dead where only vague whispers of past glory lingers in the air, but that's kinda speculation as who knows maybe the thrulls and thallids are very cosmopolitan.
