People had the right to own gold before 1933 but FDR decided to steal the gold from everyone to support his big government controlling agenda. At that point the gold standard backing the US dollar was no longer valid and we have today's mess of massive debt that goes all the way back to 1933.

So you people from Mises wish to move from a floating exchange rate currency in which the market has a hand in determining value, to gold backed US dollars where the Government tells us exactly how many dollars can be exchanged for a certain amount of gold. I feel like so much good quality pro gold propaganda always mixed with anti state sentiments and or fear mongering is probably because it benefits rich benefactors I mean gov can have shitty monetary policies but gold can be controled by the private sector Also as a comodity they need to inspire us to buy it in order to sell it at a pfrofit
