Ram hid the new RHO from their promo videos but not from me
The 2025 Ram RHO is a new off-road truck by Ram, using the chassis of the previous 2021-2024 Ram TRX. The RHO will have updated the TRX should have received over the years but will lose the 702hp 6.2L Supercharged Hemi engine and instead will sport a 540hp Inline 6 Hurricane. While a lighter package in the TRX, the price won't reflect the lower HP numbers. But how much will the RHO cost and will it even be the fastest Ram truck next year?

I've been a Mopar/Ram guy my whole life, but how they handled the "last call" on the Muscle cars and how they Dropped the Hemi and moved on has completely soured me to Ram/FCA/Stellantis. Ford is the only Manufacturer still making a RWD V8 Manual car, and the only one that you can still buy a damn single cab truck with a V8 from too? I knew this day was going to come, didn't think I'd still be a young man when it happened.....

I just noticed the so-called horsepower locator has changed to just a huge list of dealers. My local dealer has 50+ v8 2023s on the lot, this time last year EVERY SINGLE NEW V8 CAR had a deposit on it. Now the lot is flooded and you can no longer see what dealer has what cars on dodges site

Thanks for another great video as always! I'm beyond disappointed with Dodge / RAM for ditching the V8. The TRX is no longer special. They better remove that graphic under the hood of the T-Rex eating a raptor. In fact Dodge should just change the name of the TRX to brontosaurus because the TRX will now be about as big, dumb and slow relative to its reduced power output versus its original Hemi.

I agree with your video, I think you have a point, trx wanna be should have had the most power period. The v6 reporter has like 600 ft of torque so those 500ish feet of torque on the ram is not going to cut.

I see the GT models going to the wayside, and the RHO option as this direct replacement. GT's are pricey to begin with, and you didnt really get anything out of it, other than center console shift, intake, and exhaust.

RHO = Rebel High Output? They have had years to fix the HEMI MPG issue and they invested that time everywhere but on the HEMI. Sad times for Mopar fans for sure.

My 2024 TRX IS OVER 900 HP. HELLCAT REDEYE. 6.2 SUPERCHARGED. THE LAST YEAR OF PERFECTION. STALLANTIS AND EV MUST BE GONE TO HAVE MORE HEMI MOPAR TO BUY.

I work for Stellantis and can comment. The Hurricane engine performance is pathetic. There is an extremely noticeable 4-5seconds of turbo lag and no exhaust note deserving of the brand name. The company is betraying the core customer base and states it’s because of emissions! Not true. This strategy is driven by the profit goals of the larger corporation. They are trying to increase platforms commonality and reduce costs, but it’s not working! Haha. Not mention, they are bringing in a New Mexican COO to move more production to Mexico and further bring in cost savings. This will also backfire against them, as it will only lead to further increase labor costs in Mexico and degrade the manufacturing capability in the US. The fact they killed the Hemi brand - which is beyond me - shows you that these people don’t know what they hell they are doing. The real strategy should be to further leverage the HEMI brand with a 4cyl Hemi option with lower emissions to offset the V8 demand. Betraying your core customer base will not gain you market share.

I drove the Wagoneer with both the straight 6 twin Turbo and the 392 And I couldn't believe how much faster that little 6 cylinder was And if they're able to turn the wick up on that little six, it'll be really fast. Downside ,it sounds like crap And how long Will it last?

Didn’t they say something about having a 900 hp variant of the inline 6 in works personally, I like in-line 6s engines they’ve proven to be pretty decent performance platforms and fairly reliable to, in both gas and diesel variance. I mean the diesel rams already come with a Cummins, which is a diesel in line 6 I know diesel engines produce more torque but there’s also plenty of gas in line 6 instead of proven themselves to like the 1/2j Berra and the b58 and plenty of others I think I’m pretty sick Nissan patrols with rbs so as long as they put together a decent in-line six I think it could be a great replacement for the V8

Both Ford and Ram have proven that PEOPLE WILL PONEY UP HARD EARNED MONEY TO BUY SUPER TRUCKS! With that out of the way, If this Ram RHO is priced and marketed CORRECTLY, it will do well. For that to happen they have to completely put the TRX to bed, and create an all new super truck powered by the Hurricane engine. If Ram attempts to invoke the spirit of the TRX in this new truck it will flop and flop hard. IF IT DOESN'T HAVEL A HELLCAT MOTOR, IT AINT A TRX so don't try to pretend it is. Ram are you listening?

I like the new RHO. I got a rebel and not a trx because the mpg was too impractical. Like, why do you need 700hp in a pickup truck, that tops out at 100? It's not more towing power or torque or payload capacity, so what's it for? To drive around from street light to street light hauling ass? There is zero practicality in it. I like the trx body style and the larger wheels and now with a more powerful engine but practical mpg, I'll take it. Are people really basing their entire decision of a vehicle based on how much HP and how many "cylinders" ? That's quite illogical

The Gen 1, 2 and 3 Raptor's to include the Raptor R have raced and finished 1st in it's class. So until then the Raptor is the best off-road manufactured truck in the world.
