Tim Ward is playing a Gibson Grabber II bass. It is a reissue of the 1970’s Gibson Grabber. It came out in 2009. It has a sliding metal pickup instead of a sliding plastic pickup, which is what the 70’s Grabbers had.

To be honest, when a band plays such technical music it is very hard to get it right everytime, yes some of this was pretty sloppy but you cant complain, for all you know they've been up there for an hour lol
@andrewgarcia31362 жыл бұрын
It's literally impossible to play that many notes in one bar and not make mistakes. Safe to say these guys aren't a 1 take and done band in the studio, but no one playing music this difficult is. 1 takes are usually songs like Louie Louie lol
@chadherring27902 жыл бұрын
The best part about this band, and the best part about seeing them live is that the mix of hardcore punk and with more technical sections is that it’s actually fucking daring. It feels just on the being of being out of control or falling apart so it’s very exciting.

cha4kn HAH! Yeah, I mean his voice sounds fine on JLV's latest release, so hopefully a little studio wizardry will be enough. I would do anything for them to bring on a full time vocalist though. I know it wouldn't be classic TFOT, but nostalgia can only get an artist so far.

I know he’s on the latest record, but I’m not sure he’s still with the band (part or full time). He hasn’t been able to tour with them since 2016 unless they played locally. Extensive touring gets stressful for Tim… I wish he toured more with them, great backup screamer, great stage presence, and amazing bassist.

Lol what is with Thomas and constantly being out of tune?
@waveemann88578 жыл бұрын
+Cyan Blue if you're talking about his guitar I imagine it's due to him always flexing it and given how energetic he is on top of playing quickly. most "technical" players focus on playing more than "stage presence" so I guess maybe he's pulling a bit hard on his strings.
@pissnachoes8 жыл бұрын
bokunotraplord I don't know if you're a guitar player but pulling on the strings too hard doesn't make it out of tune unless it's a shitty guitar. He's using a 1,500 dollar guitar and either he fucked it up or somethings really wrong on it.
@haraldeavtraches15988 жыл бұрын
+Cyan Blue He's using an SG. With how much he moves around, and how fast and rough he plays (not complaining), that SG not having a locking nut or something besides that Tune-O-Matic will make a difference. Play a standard SG sometime and play it like he does, you'll end up out of tune sooner or later. I had to tune mine almost every time I picked it up.
