So much that is wonderful in these films. The moment that Chris tells RJ he called RJ's father to ask his permission to marry his son had such huge impact on me. And the way RJ starts to cry before Chris asks. Beautiful. Does anyone else think the "someone" Tom refers to in the motel room, the person who did not have as much fortitude to be himself was, in fact, Tom, RJ's father?

This trilogy is one of the best gay films I have ever seen. (And I’ve seen many) The two main characters acting skills were amazing. At times, so real I thought I was watching a documentary. Bravo to all involved and thank you for sharing it. I never tire of watching this.

There are many fine actors in these films but the two lead actors both deserve awards. They portray their characters in a way that is so attractive and sympathetic. I was really touched on a deep level by these films.

A marvellous film: thanks for posting it on KZbin. It would be good to see the other two parts here. This is a very realistic portrayal of how some churches in effect persecute LGTBIQ people and the impossible conflict between the faith as the church presents it and the integrity of the person. The tragedy in this is that it is so unnecessary because it is based on a very flawed reading of the key NT texts not to mention a failure to understand the real meaning of the Levitical texts. The brilliance of this film is its portrayal of the journey of integrity. Such nuanced acting and direction! I could wish this film shown to many young Christians to strengthen them in their faith and show that there is no real conflict between being a conservative believer and being gay. We are called to respond to the love of God for us and to show this in how we love.

He didn't believe and didn't accept differences cause of his religious beliefs but somehow we had a connection. As time passed by he saw my qualities and the good in me. He is now married to an American and a few years ago he sent me a message which I'll love to pass onto you, "Education is important and all I can do as a human being is to teach my kids how to love and accept others for who they're regardless their race, genre or religion. Thank you KZbin for suggesting this masterpiece, the final instalment. I have no idea how you thought that I may be interested however, you nailed it on the head. This was such a beautifully crafted love story of 1:38:40. Amazing actors, direction, and so many layers of thoughtfulness. Wouldn't it be such a beautiful world if we all could just love without labels and bigotry. Just love who we were meant to love. So many travel their entire life's journey never knowing true love.

A very good move to show the one big flaw of the church, any church: not seeing the real grace of God. God is interested in your soul, not your life in the flesh. He has dealt with that on the cross.

Thirty minutes in and all I can say is if someone dropped a match on this thing, it would BURST into flame. It's mega dry like it's been intentionally dehydrated. ALL the color is muted. I don't know if they were afraid letting a bit or color in would show up the paleness of the actors or what was the thinking. But it's like the director saying "There's nothing to see here. Move along!" The acting is good and the dialog rings true. but they have not given me enough reason to stick around to see how it all comes out. In 30 minutes, they have not made me care about EITHER of the principal characters. It seems as if they made this EXclusively for former Mormons to enjoy.
