I'm thinking about another world where 4 years ago my fiance never came into boost mobile and asked me out while he was paying his phone bill. Where we don't have a little house together in Baltimore county, where we didn't just have a beautiful baby girl on November 17th. An that is so sad. And I can say now that the love I see in her eyes every morning when she first sees me has been for the last 2 years much more rewarding than anything “freedom” had brought me before.. and so this movie feels like a totally different experience now. I hope you noticed that Don Cheadle's character was not originally there for Jack. He is an angel testing people. In their first interaction he was testing the clerk who was prejudiced against black people and accused him of altering the lottery ticket w/o looking at it and told him so when leaving the store. In the last interaction when he was a clerk at the story, he intentionally tells the girl that he'll gave her change for a $10 dollar bill even though she gave him a $1. When he does and she says nothing, he was disappointed that she did not do the right thing. I loved you're reaction to one of my favorite Christmas movies.

There's a deleted scene where when Jack "wakes up" and drives back to Jersey to what was his house, he sees Arnie outside. He pulls up and they have an interaction. Arnie then, actually recognizes him. We find out that they went to high school together. Jack, then realizes it. Before he drives off he says "I just wanted you to know, I think we could have been good friends." It's not a big scene but I think it added a little something. Also, the woman playing Jack's lover was in another movie that year with Harrison Ford and Michelle Pfeiffer call "What Lies Beneath". That's definitely one you need to watch with Carly.

It's how you get held as a family. Thank you for sharing your heart. Also yes, this movie is great and always been one of my favorites. Such a wonderful and painful movie. Anyone who lost love "for whatever reason " hits hard. Still one of my favorite movies of getting a glimpse of what could and should have ben.

I just watched it again for the 3rd or 4th time and for the 1st time with my wife. We were married young, I was 24. We had our 1st child immediately and now have three. We don't have a lot of money; it's been a struggle for over a decade. And sometimes I wonder where I would be if we wouldn't have gotten married. That's why I love this movie so much, not just because I love Nicholas Cage, but because I can relate to the story so much. Many of us can.

Nicolas Cage in *8MM* (1999 film), CITY OF ANGELS (opposite Meg Ryan) and MATCHSTICK MEN (2003), and FACE/OFF. Cassie's head is going to explode 😂

No, no. Not 8MM! Yeesh. The rest, yes!

@@genghisgalahad8465 8MM is dark and shocking. I was sick for several days after I saw it. I think Cassie would "appreciate" the versatility of Nicolas Cage in being able to play the leading role in this dark thriller.

This movie has a spot on our Christmas lineup, along with A Christmas Story, The Grinch and all the old Rulolph and Frosty movies. It's such a wholesome and endearing movie, glad you got to experience it, too :)!

Ugh. The gift of being able to see things through other people's eyes. Whether its the gift of being able to live experiences though a great movie, or being able to watch someone genuinely react to heartwarming moments. We get to realize what those moments mean, specifically, to you. Its not just watching you react to a great speech from one loved one to another. Its realizing we have those words within us every day, and we need to use them more often. Because if it means that much to you, just watching someone say them to someone else? Why aren't we saying those kinds of things to the people we love the most in our lives?

Someone in reddit noticed that every time when in the movie it snows Jack switch "realities" following morning. Meaning that because at the end at the airport it started snowing Jack gets to return to his family and kids .

No, there are no kids. They are going to try to renew their relationship but that alternative life never happened. You missed it.

I'm sure many of us were hoping they would cut to a final scene of the two of them leaving a church following their wedding. Instead, we are left to draw our own conclusions at the end, but that falling snow offers a glimmer of hope that they do get back together again.

Your Best reaction ❤ I can relate as a parent work, bills, taking care of the kids etc. rinse and repeat everyday. This is one of our most favorite all time movies that me and my wife have always cherished. Great lesson learned it's always better to be able to share your life with someone.

Good reaction. As a huge Nicholas Cage fan, ( he cranks out a new movie like every other week). I highly recommend: “Knowing” & “Lord of War.” Both are fantastic movies & not reacted to enough!!

This is one of my ATF movies. It is so heartwarming while still being very entertaining. Nicolas Cage was wonderful and Téa Leoni was outstanding. I loved your reactions and your thoughts on the movie at the end were very insightful and tender. This movie is really underappreciated. Thanks for reacting to it!
