That’ll explain why I didn’t recognise her until WAY later in the episode and even then wasn’t 100% sure it was her. 🤣 Christ, I was even blaming the moon lights we use in the room, that can make medium to darker lit scenes a bit difficult to see for us at times. 💀 But she’s a great actress man and her character looks a compelling one.

Yeah Samantha's face was darkened to fit into the role. It was a huge controversy when season 2 was released 🤦🏽‍♀️

Hrithik Roshan also darkened his face in Super 30 but it was a smaller controversy as he is a bigger hero. Ironically, all Bollywood actors, males and females, lighten their skin and digitally erase all wrinkles - from shahrukh Khan, aamir khan, Salman to Akshay Kumar, Ranbir Kapoor and no one cares. Not talking about the ads about skin lightening creams, but the while movies! Just see some of the more recent trailers, their faces are plain as marble. It also reflects audience bias and perhaps complex that we get offended if someone goes a couple of shades darker but not when they go lighter.
