The Guard mounting marks the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland taking place near the Castle. Music supplied by the Royal regiment of Scotland Band.

Thanks. My favourite Battalion, the ghosts of my favourite Regiments. Chap third file rear rank had something adrift at the back of his tunic but nobody seemed bothered. Never mind, it’s 4 Scots so everything is perfect. Apart from not having their pipes and drums on parade, the greatest military pipe band bar none.

There was an event at Wellington Barracks at the weekend. One of the two Warrant Officers was a tall lean chap and I’m sure he was wearing a SG Cap.

@@haizhens-hut The soldiers on guard or the band? Normally the guard are 5Scots and the 4scots p&d wear a different tartan. But that's pretty interesting if so.
