It's the "world of tomorrow" aesthetic, which was very popular in the mid-20th century. It is the past's view of what the future would look like, which obviously the Jetson's was based on. With the dawn of the dawn of the space age, there was a lot of excitement and optimism about the future and what it would be like.

Yup. To me Doom was always the best thing about the FF. So: No Doom = no interest. And given what they seem to have done to Doom in the MCU, I really can't see him ever interesting me in the MCU. Tony Stark Doom being the MCU Doom is insulting to Doom. It's likely they'll try and work Victor in somehow but it all seems so silly to me.

Cillian as Tommy Shelby is driven, calculated, stoic, and often just straight up cold, but also deeply loyal, with a profound sense of pride. If Cillian brought even a bit of that brooding intensity with the intellect and his ruthlessness to the role it would make him both a super complex Marvel villain but he would be THE formidable foe for the MCU (imo) (So lets hope RDJ can show some of that at least because if he doesn’t we’re fucked as fans that wanna see a real right God Emperor Doom)

My opinion, so don’t crucify me, is that (since it’s clear this takes place in an alternate timeline) that Shalla-Bal is the herald in THIS universe. Therefore, saving Norrin for the “616” reality. I feel the same way about Doom; Tony isn’t TRUE Doom, he’s just the Variant from this (or some other) timeline. Overall though, I loved the teaser and I’m very excited to see this movie. Comparing the two BIG superhero trailers we’ve gotten, I’d say Superman has me more excited, but this looks very, very promising. Love the vibes they’re going for with the 1960s setting, and the look they gave us seems like it’s gonna nail the family dynamic between the team. Vanessa Kirby as Sue just looks perfect, and while that interview before the trailer dropped was awfully awkward, I appreciate that she understood the assignment and was wearing some blue in her outfit lmao. really hoping they break the F4 curse and finally deliver something worthy of the characters, and just think it’d be neat if Superman and Fantastic Four are both really good this Summer lol!

Fellow NightOwl here who's currently working on changing my sleep schedule too. What's worked for me so far has been having a big reason to change. I started going to classes at a tech school to eventually lead into a new career. It provides a motivation and a method for being up during the day. It's been almost a month and I haven't been late yet, but I'm far from completely changed. As a former fellow projectionist and late/overnight employee at other places, those late hours still beckon when I'm trying to fall asleep at a reasonable hour (There're movies to watch and games to play!).

I'm 99% confident that the reason we're getting the female Silver Surfer and the Tony Stark Doctor Doom is because they are this retro future universe's variant versions of the characters and Norrin Raad and Viktor Von Doom are being saved for the mainline MCU. The blackboard Reid is working on shows he's developing multiverse travel and my guess would be that Tony Von Doom is going to use Reid's ideas to collapse the multiverse and cause Secret Wars and he'll be killed during that storyline and the new Doom will be the Viktor that we're waiting for and this version of the F4 will be pulled into the newly combined multiverse (just like Secret Wars in the comics where they used it to get Miles Morales into Earth 616 and delete the Ultimate universe).

It is the SHE-THING from the comics but they are trying to stealth it from the fans but if you know the FF4 you can easily see it. IT SUCKS. Just like the GIRL SURVER. If they wan to use a woman, why not NOVA. She a herald of Galactus, Frankie Ray.

Yeah the Trailer music is the theme. Michael Giacchino released the theme back at D23 I think it was. Love how they’re doing this score with the trailers like IW/endgame did. If people hear the score in the trailer they’ll know it for the movie and have a recognition for it. Giacchino is cooking

The trailer looked fun, and this review of it gave a good overview of some of the background material since I'm not too familiar with the "Fantastic Four" comics or movies. It's interesting that it looks like it takes place in the 1960s but really is futuristic - looking forward to how that all plays out. On another note: yes, good sleep is essential to good health; a better sleep schedule has been my New Year's Resolution for the past few years (always trying!).
