Great stuff Olly, you talk about range anxiety, but 30 miles will be plenty for a large percentage of farm users. Nice to see our door gas struts out in the wild also!

I'm waiting for Trevors opinion of the EV Polaris.... 🤔🤬🤬🤬🤬😂😂

Its not really “progress”, if its not better than we have already. Progress would be a charge time quicker than fuelling a petrol or diesel. Also a run time better than what we have at the moment.

Had the first ev Polaris 2010 just had limited range and speed, later had the inverter packed up

Definately diesel. You didn’t mention price - the kinetic starts at just over £29k plus VAT. The ranger diesel is just under £18k plus VAT!! The Kinetic is very expensive for what it is.

electric it is the future no question the polaris is perfect only if people dont panic about charging drive sensebly charge sensebly and all will be fine.

very well said Olly, electric vehicles have select applications, farm buggies, city cars, power tools. As for tractors, trucks and cars in rural settings, electric just isn't a viable option and never will be, a phone can't be charged in the time it takes to refuel a vehicle yet so cars are a long way off.

Honestly, the only thing that appeals to me about these is the lack of noise. Everything else is a con when you think about it.

Electric is definitely the way to go .

People dont realise EV vehicles have no resale value, it costs up to 30-40 grand to replace an EV battery, they cant be recycled or landfilled, its just basically a bad solution to a problem that never existed.

It sounds no quieter than my petrol Polaris Ranger XP until it stops

Makes sense to charge off renewables only. Otherwise it’s fake, especially as it’s more expensive to purchase.👍

Sorry but all this electric craze doesn't impress me, look at the fires they cause. Not a good combination with a barn full of straw. Cheers, Poth.

Definitely diesel, I would never buy anything electric. Electric is not any greener for environment as mining for batteries etc takes a lot of digging.

plus getting rid of lithium batteries is an environmental disaster
@clarkkent46836 ай бұрын
Doubtful they will be suited to being off road the batteries don’t like pothole roads (resulting in immutable toxic fire) never mind the states they will find on farms.

Electric vehicles are not green, they just don't omit fumes where they are driven. Electricity is made by burning fossil fuels, plus the environmental devastation caused to the environment and the child labour to obtain the lithium is a disgrace.

6 months and the battery will be down to 25 miles rubbish
@oldmanonamission80556 ай бұрын
There is nothing green about it. 1) the amount of plastic in it, not green at all. 2) the batteries are lithuanian, not green at all. 3) electric isn't green, so, not green at all. and the list goes on and on.... What is green about it?
