I want to thank you for the efforts you put forth to create and post the videos. I recently retired and discovered your channel and I find the content very enjoyable and informative. In fact, you provide me wonderful ideas and incentives as I work to adjust to my new chapter and life! Ironically, my name is Joe as well, from Wichita KS, so from one Joe to another, thanks for making such a positive difference for so many people, especially me! Best and blessings to you and your family!

Thank you Joe. What a wonderful comment. I am trying to get stuff done today but the wind is gusting over 40 mph and the temp is dropping into the single digits and it is snowing out. I see it is 46 where you are with a 20 mph wind but your high is going to be 58. That would feel like a summer day up here right now. Haha. I hope you are having a great day, get out there and get something done!

Yes! A workshop video with stuff getting made! Joe…I have to tell you that watching you since pre-Covid, I felt courageous enough to build my own shop in the basement. I’m making cutting boards, doing turning projects, and making rounded glued boards for my daughter to fancy up. Your usage, and more importantly, explanation of why and how you use the power tools gave me the confidence to do this. Thank you so much for being my inspiration and remote teacher!

Gday Joe from Australia I too milked a cow and started from scratch without any knowledge. Over the years I gradually learned more and more , one thing I did was to allow my cow Razz to foster the calf , the calf would have a drink while she was in the bale, the days I needed milk I would take what I needed first. The funny thing though was Razz would only let the calf drink while in the bale she would mother it in the paddock licking etc but I would take them to the stanchion for the calf to feed . Of course her own calf could feed when it liked !!

Those cheap brushes are also known as chip brush. I've learned to vigorously swipe the bristles (widthwise and edgewise) across the edge of my hand before using any chip brush. It helps dislodge nearly all of the loose bristles.
