I picked some of these the other day and they are way tougher to get than they look. The stalk was too thick for me to remove via grip strength that I had to saw away with my knife. Unfortunately I’m not allowed to cut down the whole tree but next time I’ll use my machete on the stalk if I can reach it…

Epic! And yeah it may take a few tries to get the harvest going smooth, Kelly still has a little trouble lol. And my uncle just taught us a better technique where you notch a wedge out the front of the trunk about waist to shoulder high then pull the tree down towards you. This makes for a slower fall and prevents the tree and fruit from hitting the ground. We will try to create an updated banana harvest video soon. Thanks for tuning in :)

@@shawnpila Wow, that sounds way more efficient! people must have thought I was some kind of monkey jumping around slashing and hacking away at the stalks. I am happy enough to have ended up with 40+ the reward is always worth it. That updated video would be pretty awesome man!

What animal are you going to farm 🐄cows , 🐐goats , 🐑 sheep , 🐇 rabbits ,hen , ducks..

Yes exactly! Along with housing my pet pig Humphrey we will be bringing in some sheep and goats to help keep the grass down, and once we can fence off more acreage we'll bring in some cattle. And then of course some chickens for their eggs and then some ducks to help eat all the slugs and other critters. Not too sure about rabbits just yet but maybe once we are living up on the farmstead :)
