So did the ulu orchard survive? Wasnt sure if i seen it on the land. No judgment if it didnt. Nice house! We're trying to build one similar on Kauai and are just entering the permit process.
@shawnpilaАй бұрын
Yup the ulu's are still going! We did lose about 6 keiki's from wild pigs, but I dug them up and put them in pots. They're fully rehabilitated and ready to go back in the ground. The acre plot is a bit overgrown at the moment but I feel like the trees like a little bit of shade LOL. Good luck with everything, I know the permit process can be a drag. Aloha man!

Could you use this same method to tighten the line wires? Instead of terminating a wire at the last post you wrap it around and then back past two or three posts and terminate there. Then twist them the same way you show here.
@shawnpilaАй бұрын
Hmm I don't see why not.. I've never tried that before so I couldn't tell ya, but I do know if your h-brace wire gets loose you can undo the "key" and re-tighten as needed, if needed.

I am a Canada citizen, and I am wondering if it's possible for me to buy a farmland in Hawaii to plant breadfruit trees? I love trees, and breadfruit trees in particular. And what type of visa with which I can work in the U.S legally and permanently, E2 visa? thank you in advance

I'm not sure on the logistics but my neighbor and his wife are from Canada and have been living in Hawaii for the last 10 years on a lychee orchard. It is very possible. Thanks for tuning in, aloha!

Yeah that's what I thought cuz that's how it's done here in Hawaii, but I've watched a ton of h-brace tutorial videos on KZbin and there seemed to be a lot of extra tools and unnecessary apparatus being used. But, everyone has their own way of doing things and I felt the need to share this version. Thanks for tuning in 🤙🏽🤙🏽

Lol kinda like a fire pole but with one hand around the tree and the other in between your belly and the tree so you don’t get scratched. And once you get to a comfortable height you can go back to frog or monkey 🙈

Pretty much the same way I've always done it except I always used one wrap of 9 gauge. I wasn't sure how well it would work with the 12.5 but it looks great, and looks better to me than the ratchet tighteners everybody seems to be using.
@shawnpila Жыл бұрын
Totally! We would normally use 9 gauge but they were out everywhere, and this was peak covid so this was our only option at that time. 12.5 gauge much easier to work with tho so that was nice LOL. Thanks for tuning in 🤙🏽🤙🏽
