This sounds very similar in scope to Conceptual Blockbusting: A Guide to Better Ideas By James L. Adams that I was introduced to in 1985 at a college class. It has evolved since then and after this CBS Sunday Morning piece I am inspired to revisit the book and to look at my journal notes from my original read. Thank you so much for this section.

Always a great show. I go back decades with this. But missed many sleeping in! Like you! I still remember the segment on what the host's Christmas wreath looked like when he searched his hood for decorations, compared to what Martha found. Hilarious show. Martha finding the perfect natural objects, the host finding beer cans, etc.

It saddens me that I'm the fifth comment on a show that is so good.

According to The Reader's Digest, the first dune buggy tires were designed by dividing the weight of a camel by the area of its feet.

Advice from 3,500 years ago: “Ask, please, the domestic animals, and they will instruct you; Also the winged creatures of the heavens, and they will tell you. Or show your concern to the earth, and it will instruct you; And the fishes of the sea will declare it to you.” - Job 12:7,8
