I just bought it. I used it twice. Loved the clutch and quick setup. But I found the bottom legs would sometimes stick and not completely collapse. And I found raising and lowering the center column really awkard. Tonight I was practicing and lowering the center column to make sure I could do it quickly for a shoot tomorrow, and the column just dropped to the floor. I don't see a screw, and I needed the height flexibility of the centre column so I won't be able to use it for the shoot tomorrow, if at all. I'll take it back to the store and see what they say. But not impressed.

It only seems easy to use when extending the legs and the rest.... forget about it...

Would never, ever, replace my Gitzo 3 series with one of these.

So, without a half-ball leveling adjustment, it’s really only slightly better than a photography tripod. A nice one, but not quite there yet, especially at such a high price, and especially already showing build quality problems. Thanks for the honest review!

Thanks for your thoughts on this.. BUT 😉 I have to say, I don’t quite agree with some of the points mentioned in this review. Perhaps it’s worth clarifying certain details or emphasizing the 'flaws' a bit more? For instance, the knob that holds the center column in place works perfectly for me. I definitely don’t need a hammer and can easily operate it with my thumb and forefinger. It stays firmly in place and is just as easy to release. As for the rubber under the feet, I find it soft enough-I can even press into it with my nail. Lastly, the ring for the fluid head works flawlessly for me. With just a small turn, it locks securely or releases smoothly. Turning it as much as described here doesn’t seem necessary (or even possible) with mine. (are you sure you don't have a prototype) 😋 Hopefully, this adds to a more balanced perspective on the product! Regarding the accessories: I do agree that the floorspreader could have been included at this price point. I’m super happy with my purchase of this tripod! With my old one, I used to get so frustrated in the studio, having to adjust six separate knobs every time. After seeing how this one can be adjusted all at once with a single handle, I knew it was exactly what I needed. I won’t be using it outdoors much, so I can’t really comment on how well it performs when set very low.

Glad you're experience is better than mine and I know that some of these problems might just be random manufacturing errors, but I'm just sharing my personal experience here and unfortunately, it's not a Prototype.

Can confirm your center colum is broken. also the knob shouldn't rotate unless you pull it out

I do really like the idea of this tripod and I think with some revisions it could bet one of the best out there. maybe wait for the 2.0

Just pick up a trigger stick tripod and put your own ballhead or camera mount on it. 🤷‍♂️

Dear Luke, Thank you for sharing your feedback on the TRIBEX tripod. We understand that experiencing an unusual locking force in the center column was not the experience you expected, and we want to assure you that this is an isolated incident. Our tripods are designed to provide exceptional performance, and we are more than happy to offer you a replacement tripod with a fully functional locking system to ensure your satisfaction. Regarding the slight play in the damping ring for infinite adjustment, we appreciate your bringing this to our attention. While this is a normal occurrence within our current design specifications, we are taking your feedback into consideration for future enhancements to improve the overall user experience.♥

It's been a while since I've used one, but I don't ever remember needing a hammer to adjust a tripod :)

oof looks like yours is a dud. Though it is by far the fastest tripod and for a lot of situations(I do wildlife) it is worth all these flaws. Are there any other tripods that can be quickly adjusted from the top? I have the 75mm Ikan E-image carbon fiber one which I really like since a single knob releases all 3 stages per leg. However, it is too big for a lot of run and gun type situations.

Thanks for your time, creating this! Very insightful when it comes to leveling at very low set up. 🙏🏽 Curious about your experience with the pan/tilt/diagonal tracking. Do you have any lag/jerking where you see "micro-adjusting" before you get your desired motion? On my end, from a stationary/counterbalanced position, when trying to smoothly track a subject diagonally, I have the slightest lag where is feels like the pan and tilt have to start one at a time, before I get a clean diagonal motion.

FYI - You have a 4 minuted add that never allowed me to skip. I tried to watch your next video, but you had the same add I could not skip, So I'm not watching your stuff again.

Wow! That’s not cool. Can you fill me in on the details? are you on the KZbin app or a browser? I’ve heard of that happening on old browsers. was it a single four minute long add or multiple ads that added up to four minutes? Are you on a TV or a phone? This is definitely a problem with KZbin and I’m trying to figure out how to make sure that doesn’t happen again on my videos if i have any choice in the matter.

I do think most of this stuff is manufacturing error so I’m sure there’s plenty of these that don’t have problems, but who knows what you will end up with
