It's fast and easy to watch, but in reality this is a time consuming hard way to mount antlers. The chemicals involved is a mess. I just mounted mine too a cedar plank but before covered the skull with suade. The concrete, wood screws, wood and what ever else you added causes alot of weight to a relatively already light object, if anything I'd use foam or nothing.I tried this, ending up with a clump weight you wouldn't want falling on your kids noggin, or your toe.

I’ve recently finished up an old wild boar that was shot in the head with a.22 and calcified over. And of course I used your acetone trick. It’s been working great but I am starting to think that the older the animal it’s harder to degrease. So I’m probably going to bleaching it again.🤙🏻great video!!

Fast and easy eh? May need to look those words up in the dictionary.

Thought you were kidding about the plaster of Paris and concrete drying fast. I didn’t have must time to get everything I needed in.

My mule deer nose broke and I've been thinking about trying this out. You are a true artist my friend, and thank you for the ending.

I was thinking if you don’t have leather or don’t want to mess with it you could experiment by painting . Leather isn’t easy to come by like when Tandy leather was around plus shipping costs these days have become a little expensive

Yes sir, learned this on your first video. Cheap and easy, a good motto. I did a couple using camo. fabric, turned out really nice... Thank you for the information.

I'm not a hunter, but I've found a new hobby because of your channel. I was able to get some dead heads, and sheds, and a cat and raccoon skull. I learned the whole process through your videos. I've been able to make some really nice pieces for home and as gifts. My basement looks like I'm an avid skilled hunter, but I barely know how to even load a shotgun. Haha, anyway thanks for teaching someone a new hobby. I feel taking the time to make them into art is the perfect way to show respect too. Love your art, and thanks again.

Amazing video! I just harvested my first buck at 40 years young. This is exactly how I'm going to memorialize the event. Thank you for the detailed instructions and inspiration!

Thanks to your old video on the antler mounts. I've done a few and they came out great. The first time I tried the glue method and I got glue all over the place. A staple gun with short staples worked better for me.

Just finished my first crown mount. Turned out great thanks to this video! Next time I will wrap the base of the antlers with painters tape to protect them from cement and spray glue. Thank you for posting such a descriptive video.

This is perfect. I just harvested a solid Buck, not the type to get a full mount from a taxidermist but big enough that I want to do an antler/cap mount and doing it myself sounds great. Thank you for this DIY video

I’ve made quite a few of my own antler mounts, but in a different way than you do it. I really like the tricks that you shared. I’ll definitely use some of your tricks in the future. Thanks for posting.
