May it's beauty grace our roads for ever. (Rather brave 'sole' for launching that steel kickstart! : )

Took a bit of firing up up but he got there. One beautiful looking machine

I've seen this at shows quite a lot and it always arrives under its own steam (as well as trailering a Honda) so I imagine it's pretty reliable, so I'm not sure what the issue was but he got there in the end eh 🙂

Looks great with the twin discs .

It's a great mod for sure and look better and more period than the one that I see from time to time sporting Comstar wheels

A lovely machine. Had a chuckle at the riding gear, leathers with comfortable shoes 😊 Comes with age, I guess and something to look forward to if I'm still riding. 😀

Don’t need the boots with a sidecar outfit. You’re not going to get your knee down, and the bike isn’t going to fall on your legs!🤣👍 Incidentally,one of my hard-core biker friends(two Norvins,an immaculate 1950 Rapide,and a 600cc Gold star to name but a few,to his name),has never been seen in anything but a tatty old pair of yellow steel-toed safety boots,so the heavy duty biker boots are more of a fashion statement than anything.

A lovely machine indeed Trevor and very comfortable looking shoes for sure. Personally I like something a bit sturdier for kick starting but he's been around long enough to know what works for him eh 🙂 Cheers for watching

Beautiful looking thing. Just so we're certain; that is two horizontally mounted shocks for the rear swingarm under the seat - that's not a hardtail with some fancy chrome?...
@rickmancr4 ай бұрын
That's correct. HRD Vincent had rear suspension pre-war. The post-war Series B and C actually had the rear of the seat connected to the swinging arm by struts and looked even more like a hardtail, but that one has a Series D rear subframe so the seat doesn't move with the suspension.

Beautiful indeed Paul, and yes that is a twin shock cantilever rear end that Yamaha embarrassed themselves but claiming to have invented twenty years after Vincent ceased business! Vincent / HRD were a truly innovative company and in my opinion created the finest bikes of all time; even better than Brough Superior 😮

Is this the same ‘Fast Lady’ that used to race at Cadwell Park in the sixties/seventies but with a different sidecar?
@DukeDyson4 ай бұрын
Malcolm Attrill had several Vincent outfits all called "Fast Lady" and I believe this may have been one of his, although it looks a lot more road biased than track biased? If I get an opportunity to chat to the current owner I'll ask the question 🙂

@@DukeDyson Ah, I didn’t know there was more than one, the one I remember had a more open, flat-panel racing style sidecar in black with polished aluminium panels and ‘Fast Lady’ sign written on one of the panels. No need to make any specific enquiry, thanks, it was just that I always used to look forward to seeing the outfit perform and always wondered what had happened to it.
