Damn, 2 years using the engine, a game almost done, and you sir, just make my day (talking about the auto-blueprint export). I wish i knew this before…

Hi, do you think you can make the same tutorial using send2ue plugin and using simple bake to bake textures easily and use them within ue? Thanks

What if i want to go back to blender and edit some parts or maybe add some more models, will i need to do all the changes i did in unreal engine again?

Iam also facing this problem Good question. Lets say you need to adjust material besausse in my case Metalic and roughness was missing from imported materials. Now only option i see is to delete model you want to adjust then reimport that model from Blender and again preform changes on material thats just sick because i have 62 objects with different materials i want to import. I really need some help how to do it maybe lets create some workflow group where we find or make the automated solution(extension for Blender or Unreal).
From a game dev stand point having 1 material per object is so expensive, try using trim sheets or share some textures between objects if possible. If you are using multiple materials per object try using an id map so you can have just 1 material instead

@@adrianilabej317 I am now trying to use layered material and only heatmaps like curvature durt and damage layer to mix those materials

Thanks a lot for that. When in UE5 and trying to creat materials in this block imported in UE5, it crashes UE5. Even after 5 more trials :(

Wow awesome! Thanks for making the clear and concise walk through on the object exports! Is there a "FULL SCENE" workflow that you have solved?? I am looking for a solution to migrate PREVIZ of multiple animated characters, multiple animated cameras, several lights, and temp environment geo from blender to unreal. What is the best way to do this?? Thank you again, Faebe!!

I dont think there is an all in one solution. Try to migrate the static objects like I showed in the video. The cameras as I show in one of my other tutorials and for the animation I will also do a video soon but there are already some great ones on youtube. Hope that helps :)
@donta425 ай бұрын
@@faebetutorials ahhh i see, this video is specifically for STATIC OBJECTS only! I tried it and it pulled my cameras and character rigs in, but I couldn't figure out how to get them "moving". Now i might understand why. Regarding exporting ANIMATED object geometry and character rigs, please please please do another video for those two items!!!! I have not been able to find a working solution that doesn't require some paid addons. THANK YOU SO MUCH! liked & subscribed!!!!
