When Trey Griffith found his first set of stacking cups, his life was changed forever. He began training himself to rack and stack cups at lightning speed, competing in tournaments around the globe. Trey’s father eventually took up stacking himself as an opportunity to bond and compete alongside his son. Today, at age 14, Trey is already the fastest stacker in the state of Texas. Now, he’s ready to take on the world.

Why are so many people saying negative things about the kid and his passion? I mean yeah that is your opinion, but why can't you act like a decent being and just stop being a troll or just not comment anything at all? And for all those saying that this sport has no use, there is. It helps with muscle memory, reaction time, logic (cause you have to think about where to stack when you wanna stack it), speed, etc. And look at the positive impact this has brought to the family. They bond together and are supportive of each other.

A lot of people have a debate over whether this a sport or not. Call it what you want. I get how chess isnt considered a sport and this is for example. I love chess. I respect anything with competition and tournaments. Sport stacking has a physical structure and specific rules to it that includes benefits to help out in other sports (reflexes, hand eye coordination, ambidexterity, focus) and does it get you anywhere in life? Me personally, yes. I didnt get paid at any tournaments I went to (do college athletes get paid either) but because of my dedication to the sport I work for the company now.

As someone who normally doesn't mind negativity ....honestly don't get all the negativity in these comments on this video "he can be a bartender" or " this will help him get a job at McDonald's".....it's a childhood sport guys.....what percentage of kids out there playing ANY sport is gonna be making it a career when they grow up? Whether it's gymnastics, or football, basketball, whatever. Far less than 1% is the answer. They're normally considered lucky if the sport ends up even helping them pay for college. I don't see the problem with this as long as his parents make sure he's well balanced and doing well in all his academics too. He gets to be physically active, spend time with his family and socialize with others, set goals, learn discipline, and have a sense of accomplishment. Beats all those kids out there these days sitting around playing video games or on Facebook in all their free time, getting fat and learning absolutely nothing about real social interaction or having a passion or goals about anything but school (if that). How many of them get to say they're the best at anything in their town/city/county, much less one of the biggest states? Maybe it's not the "coolest" looking activity/sport....but who cares....if I have kids....I'd honestly would rather my kid doing this than risking concussion, injury, heat stroke, or dochebaggery playing your typical field sports. Not to mention all you need to practice this is a table, timer, and some cups.....you can do it anywhere, any time, rain or shine. Beats having to pay fees and buy expensive equipment/shoes/etc, and driving your kid to and from this or that school/field several times a week for practice and games. For a society that is typically more beneficial towards nerds when they grow up, you guys seem to have no problem being mighty rude to them when they're young.
