Is This the Best Build in PoE 2? - Flicker Strike Stat-Stacking Gemling

Glad you've come around to tempest flurry. It is a bit clunky, but once you get used to piloting it around the nooks, crannies, and obstacles, your clear speed and DPS goes up exponentially. You should try simulacram again with this strat. The mobility and DPS was a gamechanger for me. To be honest, tempest flurry is one of the best skills in the game if you ask me. The mobility boost it gives you allows you to run circles around bosses like Xesht. I dont even need to dodge roll - I can just zoom around the arena dodging his hands. The flicker strike tech is interesting and not one I've seen other gemlings use yet. Might have to try it out!

I like to go full jittery mode playing tempest flurry going left and right really quickly like small zig zag when going straight. helps with getting through tiny obstacles

I started PoE 1 in earnest in Settlers. Ended up finding Llarolds LS Slayer build and loving the game. After a 96 Ice Strike Invoker, I found Llarold again. Dude really knows what he's doing.

The switch up in skills and buffs actually works really well with the non flicker strike stat stacker too!. Really loving the herald of ash too.

Yeah, most gemling builds are using tempest flurry or ice strike, but I like flicker strike a lot more the only bad thing is having to run back to get the loot lol

Yes, that was going to be our next build-a month ago. Then we saw Subtractem's video about minions getting stuck on doors and hallways, and went for a stat-stacking Gemling instead, and now here we are. Minions seem really good when they're not breaking, but they seem to break a lot.

great vid, i was intrested in this but all other builds i tried so far felt not that good for me personally... however this one so far seems to be the best one ive tried.. being able to clear t16s with eaze now.. not using flicker strike that much tho, but the Herald of thunder with Herald of Ash is really nice.

I swapped to the weapon swap but Hand Of Chayula is just not marking. It seems to miss the target more now. Did I miss something?

Hand of Chayula always hits, so it should be working. There can be some really weird stuff that happens if a spell skill gem is set to only use a specific weapon, so you might try socketing in your mark & curse natively and toggle them around. Very weird situation we've run into before with Hand of Chayula weapon-swapping, kinda boils down to "Turn it off and back on again."

Hi, Llarold! I really appreciate your content, PoE 1 & 2. Always top in quality and attitude. Thank you! Also I have a question - in PoB you have both Conductivity and Temporal chains in Hand of Chayula. I though you can get only 1 curse on target. Am I wrong or missed something?

You can use both if you spec into Whispers of Doom at the top of the tree. It's not mandatory, but it is a really good extra defensive layer for bossing as it allows you to easily maintain Temp Chains on pinnacle bosses. For mapping, it's not necessary and you can drop Temp Chains out of Hand of Chayula.

Some people say that using FS with a charged staff comes with positioning issues. Because if you kill enemies in front of you with lightning, you have nowhere to jump. Have you encountered this problem?

nice! thanks for the new video. in your POB you have (STR:255 DEX:375 INT:655) by changing the travel nodes from int to str like this (STR:366 DEX:375 INT:541) I get almost 10% more damage and more life. is that something you'd try?

Yeah, getting that amount of Dex requires like 5-10 times more investment and it will set a mana pool on fire, but it's pretty cool.

Any recommendations when to switch to this version. I’m like 76 and using the storm wave and it’s doing good so far in t6-7 maps. Side note I did 1-3 cruel in like 3 hours with the leveling build! It’s a gem!

Three Dragons is fine as a cheap solution, but you lose around 20% damage from Black Sun Crest's stat bonuses and upwards of 40% more damage from Shock.

Drop it if you like. More Int will give you more AoE, which will help with making sure it hits-but if everything's dying without it, you don't need it.

Herald of ice is fine for ailment thresh maps you either need more dps more freeze build up or more pen. Ive never run a map and not had it proc with a proper setup even 70% delirious+180%hp +180% ailment thresh maps. No need to drop hoi all togetrher just fix your build lol.

​@@PathofEvening 25 Threshold is noting, 25% Manaregn will help allot with the -50 % for MoM. 5 to alls ress is exactly 1 Rune, while 10% Chaos res you need 1.3 runes So 2 slots. Thats why mana reg and Chaos res are the best for this build

Flicker only works like in the video when the damage is low. If you chonk couple hundred divine at it it will oneshot aoeblast the entire screen on first teleport and stop there as there's noone left to flicker to. Extremely dissapointing.

The build already one-shots most everything it hits even on low investment. It sounds like you're talking about misconfigured Heralds, which is a setup error, not a fault with Flicker. It's also super easy to lower damage on literally any skill, just take out support gems, so this comment makes zero sense at all.

I have used the temporalis build for a month and yes, it is more complete, but the price now is too high. I've swapped to this build here and i am enjoying for now. Yes, i miss the clear and loot speed, but flicker strike is also fun and after i sold my temporalis i used like 1/7 of the divs to build my gemling.
