Soul crushing, indeed. Like ramping into a Soul Shatter in cEDH just when the strongest decks get their commanders out LOL. Gosh that card is the best designed, best removal of all of commander. only thing that brings more satisfaction is slaughter pacting a phage then reanimating her with platinum angel and not paying slaughter pact's upkeep cost the next turn. THAT UNSUMMON WAS PRICELESS. LITERALLY HAD ME GOING LIKE "HE DID IT! HE DID IT!" 😵😭 lol

*Update Post* It didn't take a week to change the whole speedrun meta. The leaderboard is currently dominating by three runs with three different methods. 1. Channel / Lightning Serpent - 26 sec. (Claris) 2. Channel / Chromatic Orrery /Crackle with Power - 26 sec. (Calori78) 3. Channel / Charbelcher - 27 sec. (BuGfi5h) Only one of these can be the true optimum way of doing it 🤔 --- You can speed up the draw animation by holding another card from your hand while drawing. Thank you so much for the people pointing this out, this is super helpful even for regular play. 🙏 Other methods from comments: - Channel / Goblin Charbelcher / All MDFC - Turn 1 MDFC Belcher with 3xDark Ritual (good luck with this one) - Mana Dork / Channel / Lightning Serpent - Channel / Chromatic Orrery / Crackle with Power --- Shoutout to Dr. Wurstpeter for posting his highly optimized run and making this into a real challenge. Some of my long-time viewers may know that this video idea has been on my mind for quite some time. There are things I expect from this channel: Seth not being able to pronounce words Krim not being able to read cards Phil not being able to keep arena from crashing to shenanigans. As someone who has spent hours and hours decktesting with Sparky, as soon as I saw that single untapped island at 17:55 I knew exactly what was going to happen hahahaha. Almost nothing Sparky does makes any sense, making it obviously useless to test a deck's performance (unless it's a combo deck you're working on or practicing goldfishing, etc that doesn't care about what your opponent is doing), but it's perfect when you're working on improving the mana base, trying different spells, etc and want to see what kind of draws your deck has and such. The one single spell that I actually have had Sparky randomly blow me out with all the time is the perfectly timed Unsummon lol. She'll do things a newb in their first game would know are obviously horrible decisions but she can be surgical with that Unsummon at times lol.

hey phil, just a suggestion: with your final deck, it appears you only put in the necessary cards and lands, which i think can be optimised more. Since the arena shuffler generates two hands then selects the one with a closer land to spell ratio to your deck, adding in more nonland cards would mean you'd have to draw less hands. As always, a banger of a video!
