Mine used to death wobble track bar and track bar mount was the culprit. Run the passenger tire at about 20 psi and the driver at 30psi it makes a constant pull to the right which keeps the track bar tight and the death wobble goes away

love the Jeep, but I get that same feeling off it that I get from a Firebird with a Chevy 350. Kinda would have liked to see it with an AMC V8. AMC did all the heavy lifting that made the XJ a legend... Chrysler just bought em... then fucked em up with Mopar engines.

It looks like it used to be a 4WD XJ but I guess you guys removed the transfer case front drive shaft and replaced the front axle with just a tube axle since I didn't see a diff in the front axle. Honestly if it had a NP242 transfercase you could have made it even faster since those have center diffs in them that allow for full time 4WD that you can use on the road, it's basically AWD. Could you imagine how fast this thing would be if it was in full time 4WD with racing slicks on both the front and the rear? It would be insane to see it launch, wondering why you guys didn't keep it 4WD.

Why not run it in AWD? I'd assume it was a 4WD model since it's pretty uncommon to see 2WD jeeps. An 87 XJ probably had the I6 4.0 with a NP242 t-case. Wouldn't power to all the tires give it better off the line performance?
