I normally wouldn't use it at all but I feel like I would probably drive more traffic to his video by mentioning it in this one and adding some of my tricks-it is a tricky balance to get right though. If you're doing this trick during War Within just know that the trick to do the raid lockout by joining your own raid only works with alts as the same faction as the main character. You cannot do the join raid part if your alt isn't horde or alliance (the same as the main)! I learned the hard way :(

I will disclose here for comment readers, you can completely skip the green dragon fight just by going around the trash. The gate should be open on the other side and no fight needed!

@@archvaldor OK so does this still work and would this method work with saving the lockout over several weeks? Keeping it 11/12 on one toon and letting the other toons reset like normal? Also, do you have to heal Dreamwalker on the alt toons? or can you still log into the raid on the alt and go straight to LK? Just trying for some clarification before i start it up next week.

m pretty sure around mop we were doing save the lockout on the final boss thing, that was around when i last had actual friends who played wow with me and I remember a chick who would do it every week, i actually thought we were doing this in cata but we did still play together in mob so ill go with that. I remember doing the raid size and my alt being in there offline for a while. I wouldn't worry too much considering people have been doing this for 10+ years , i think we used this for spine of death wing too and yeah obviously any other cosmetics.

It does. The lockout +sips +role play switch is REALLY fast though.

For the lockout method, if you don't want to deal with Dreamwalker healing just leave Putricide alive instead of her. Your alt army doesnt have to bother with the healing boss at all.

Just got Invincible using this alt lockout technique! Thanks a bunch for that. Is it possible to do alt lockout skip for other old raids? I think I got it to work for Ulduar (I just cleared until last boss and made a group finder group and was able to skip to yogg and kill on alts) but I'm not sure if it was 100% working as my rarity addon was not counting attempts.

You do but it takes a second and doesn't count as a main profession so there really is no reason not to.

I am a bit confused. I thought you get logged out after about 20 seconds when getting kicked from the game or alt+f4. Is that caused because the character is in a boss fight?

You are correct that your character has a 25-30 second window after you leave the game but it is due to the Jenkins file processing that you have left the game so if there's a que it can issue in another player.

I did this back in mop or wod but i dont remember it was so complicated, i just kill all the bosses with my rogue, made a group with autoinvite (probably wod, becouse i think autoinvite was removed in legion with world quest, but world bosses still have autoinvite option so you can still create an autoinvite group by starting a world boss group). Set raid group 25n with rogue, go in, made sure you are in a raid group and not just in a party group, i dont remeber if you need tor be at least 2 player for this. Accept invite, go into raid, log out and in rogue again, set raid hero and swap leader. Kill lich king with alt and kick rogue middle fight. If you kick it early, raid will kick you out in 1 minute. A variation of the same method could be used to yogg mount, but since ulduar was made timewalking, you can no longer set raid 25 and 10. I think i discover this method by ulduar first but i dont remember how it was becouse ulduar didnt have hero mode. Doesnt matter, no longer can be used there. And the same method was used in soo to farm garrosh shoulders, but with the new skip is no longer needed.

I'm struggling to get this working, whenever I join group on an alt the instance immediately turns into a heroic one with the floating skull, and I'm unable to swap difficulty as I'm not the leader. But in the greyed out section it shows I'm on normal 25. Was this patched?

50 is the cutoff point for various reasons. This has been possible forever.I doubt Bliz will fix this they have 8 different games to police and legacy content is irrelevant to them.

I just made a shit load of character and ran it all on all of them and collected all the transmog and stuff too. It doesn't take long and I have the invisible horse!

Have you left the group? Sometimes there seem to be a delay or soe stubborness with disbanding.

@@archvaldor I have figured it out. it seems I messed up on the original run. It was 25 man hc when I killed the 10 bosses. Tried it again on another couple of characters and it worked first time. One thing I found out it does not work cross faction

@@archvaldor I finally got this working reliably. What I did was with the alts I was using the kill the LK with. Upon logging in I swapped to normal, then back to HC before going in and killing the first boss. Then followed the rest of the method. Pleased to say I got the mount today.

While I no longer play wow I do already have this mount back when it was a case of play dead as a hunter for most of the fight then pop up and nuke him (you know we have killed so meny godlike villains over the years characters should be like “”wait aren’t you?”” Bad guy jumps out of the nearest window to get away from us, and yes I did nick that from Hook😅) but I was never able to get baron ??? (I’ve forgotten his name darn) from the 5man in the plaguelands (Rivendear that’s the name I think?) it’s one of the few drop mounts that’s “”easy”” that I could never get to drop.

you didn't mention that demon hunters can kill the big dragons before sindragosa without killing the mobs to call them to the platform, which she'll teleport you onto it if you can't get onto it

Worth stressing for people not seeing Character A's group in the group-finder: this skip is not cross-faction. If Character A is Alliance, only Alliance Bs will see the group.

Have you heard about the new 'mop remix' thing Blizzard is doing? It says trial characters can even access it up to lvl 20, and that you get to keep the character when it moves back to retail after. I am going to be trying to see just how powerful I can make a 20 there as by the sounds of it, you will get super powerful even at low lvl? Or at least that's what blizz made it sound like. However if I have to choose between collecting shit (which they said you keep after for retail) or power, I'm ofc going to go with the collectables as the *only* reason I even do my 20s is to collect shit for my 18~ year old account, just do to sunk cost ect. Depending on how long the event lasts, I might be able to do *both*. Use my quest rewards on a throw away toon to get all the cosmetics N shit, then make a 'real' one just for power. They also contradicted themselves in the announcement for this event saying it "requires game time to begin" then later said trial characters can access it. I can't take part in the 'plunderstorm' at all outside of making my character, and I assume it will work the same way, where it's a tab at the character select screen you click on to be moved to the special server. Right now my main 20 twink, my belf holy priest (Seman-Goldrinn, which you can look up on the armory) is very powerful. They recently fixed old enchants and allowed them to scale to ilvl 320 instead of 50, and now I can do 1mil total damage over the course of 18 min exactly (without factoring in SW:Death) Which is insane for a lvl 20. My holy fire crits hit for over 3k, and that's before the dot it adds after. I am wondering just how much more powerful you can be on this new mop thing. Worst thing they could do is make it so gear/upgrades cap out with lvl scaling so you can only get up to a certain ilvl of gear at each lvl. But maybe I might be able to max out my cloak to 4200 who knows. They showed the stats/ilvl of the maxed cloak, and you need to max it out to get the 4 toys, which I would want. But I think you should get the toys regardless if you have the real cloaks from back in the day, like I do.

@@Molly-e5w With the .2.6 patch they secretly pushed a fix for all consumes/enchants that had ilvl caps that were never changed when the ilvl of stuff was buffed in 10.0.3, only took 2 fucking years. So you can use like, rough sharpening stone or any enchant from any profession on any item as long as it is lower than ilvl 320. This means lvl 60 twinks with pre DF gear can use stuff like BC/mop enchants for slots that have not been enchantable for years like offhand or gloves.

The goblin gliders got nerfed but the skip didn't. You have to think a bit to make it work now unless you have a class which can glide.

Not the foggiest about that one. There was a discussion on it in sirwit's video I think you can use the same lockout trick elsewhere but i'm not sure about spine-you can use my rp skip in anything where you have rp and alts.

Interesting! Some thoughts here: Just out of curiosity, why is it so crucial not clearing Valithria specifically, instead of any other boss? I mean, the "exploity" part is clearing NM Vali with your alt, so you can trick the game to get your already existing HC lockout updated and saved... allowing you to go straight to Arthas. But there's more to it... But what if the Normal 10/12 lockout had BloodQueen & Arthas available instead of Vali & Arthas? Note that with Vali & Arthas uncleared, the path to go directly to Arthas exists in the lockout. So I guess the HC lockout trick has something to do with the fact that Vali is a completely optional boss.

Blizzard now tracks every invincible marking the ones which were obtained by using skips, if you skip your invincible will be skinnier.
