You can get overseas pokemon playing F2P. If you open gifts that give 7k eggs from friends who are overseas (or just more than 100km away) then you can trade those for candy XL! That's what me and my wife do and it works great, without having to spend any money! Of course you have to incubate, so buying incubators lets you get more, but you can do this with your free incubator too! Thanks for the great content as always Brandon!

Brandon! Do you recommend saving higher level mons to trade for distance? If you save every single mon it won’t matter but sometimes I have to trim up my storage and I will end up deleting 100 or so. Should I delete the higher levels and try for more XL candy or save those for trade? I would like it to be fair but just wondering the best way to go

If you have bag space issues save lower level ones for trading and just transfer high levels (30+) to free up space. XL candy rate on trades only is affected by distance, while catching and transferring is affected by pokemon level. Always prioritize keeping mons you want XL for that will give you 100km+ (100% XL) and then 10km+ (25% XL) during a trade irrelevant of the level. If you can't keep them all at that distance then transfer higher levels as those have higher XL drop rate.
