This, from Ark Gamepedia, may explain why killing the Karkinos with a gun took so long. I tried with a 300% Crossbow, and a level 40 went down with 5 arrows. Thanks for the harvesting tips. "If you do not have a large enough dinosaur to combat the Karkinos directly, it's better to utilize a Crossbow or a compound bow with metal arrows from a ledge that it can not reach over. Don't waste your ammo with guns such as the Longneck Rifle or Shotgun; the Karkinos takes significantly reduced damage from guns, but takes normal damage from arrows."

Also meant to mention that the Mantis in the desert areas are another great source of polymer and chitin.

Lol well done I kept expecting you to trip over your tongue each time you said 'crop plot' I'd love to see the bloopers of it :) It was a great vid and I'll certainly be checking out your others. I like to do a run of the river with my Argent killing and harvesting at the same time, I'm only on PvE so I get plenty for my own needs that way.

some tips: beehives from bees cave w a doedicurus, or clonning a low lvl karkinos and harvesting w a moschops leveled on organic polymer (C to harvest), mate boosted and yuty boosted

If you want thousands of polymer in 4 minutes go to the giant bee hive with any big mount in a cryo pod Rex / spino / giga. And chainsaw the hives. 👍
