Thank you, i was thinking about taming a bear because dododex says its the best for gathering honey and polymer so i assumed it can harvest the hives the best for massive amount of honey and polymer. Good thing i looked up this vid before wasting my time with finding and taming a good bear.

If you want organic polymer, the best way is to get a karkinos (found in floating islands area) and carry a doedicurus, when you get close, it should hit it automatically. Also, I believe the mantis works like an anky

Just saw this video, but for anyone who might come across this comment, a Magmasaur harvests Organic Poly on par with a Doedicurus AND while you're mounted you're completely immune to attacks from the worker bees. So, you can just walk in on the Magmasaur, whack hives until you're black weighted, walk out. Kill the worker bees and anything else nearby with the Magmasaur before you dismount.

The best organic poly mount is the magmasaur I have 500 melee on my and 2.4 weight and I get 600 per hit

I used a Beelzebufo to kill the bees, you get 3-8 honey and they are one shot with the frog/bug damage buff.

organic polymer is harvested based on 'bludgeoning damage" which is why the axe worked better than the pick, but a club harvests it better than an axe. think of it along the lines of rpg damage types, precision>hands/scythe/theri-tickle, piercing>pike/pick/anky, slashing>sword/axe/thorned dragon/chainsaw, bludgeoning>fists/club/bola L1 punch/doedecirous. the saw worked better because it's like a super-axe, but a doe works better because it's a super-club. i have x2 havesting set and my doe gets 300-500 poly per hive in one hit - DOEDECIROUS FTW! i just did a run with 3 argy loads of poly and made about 3000 soap to grind when i got back, so i won't need to farm poly for a while

Did you have any problems with the bees dismounting you from the Rex? I'm thinking I'd rather tame a dire bear and use one of them since you can not get dismounted.

From what I can infer from this, these specific bee hives are counted as rocks in a way with organic polymer being stone and honey being flint.

No the bees. but there are tameable bees on the map outside in the redwood forest area.

It is underground. I showed the top entrance. It can be difficult to spot at first but look for the top hill with the opening in the middle of the forest. Fly overhead with a flyer like a ptera to spot it first. There are other entrances too scattered near the main area that I showed you. take a gps with you and follow my cooridinates. I hope you find it.
