I haven't watched this yet, just started it, but I honestly think the real reason a lot of the opponents in these road to GC videos look worse than they are is because usually very early on, the youtuber (Leaf, Squishy, anyone doing a R2X video) puts the other team in their place. You don't see it much at gold because I don't think the opponents have enough experience to tell yet. But diamonds and to some extent champs turn into very timid players when someone on the other team displays superior skill early on, especially if they do it more than once.

Thank you for this video, I think it displays really well a lot of the mistakes I’ve been making over the past month or so I’ve been back into rocket league. Also, to me, these lobbies seem very similar to mine, but idk it might have been different two months ago. I think the game just looks slower when you’re watching someone else play.

I’m personally a diamond 2 in 2v2. I can dribble, I cheat, I see people doing flip resets, everyone knows how to do aerial shots. I don’t understand the lobbies you are in.

I understand I'm bad but it always feels like the people I play with are waaat better than these videos, probably because I don't have the very small precision or game sense down but it is always frustrating watching people easily destroying my rank then I try and get folded Great video though! A big thing behind this is also because, as you mentioned, theres very very small things that go through our heads that we already know from the high ranks. The more you play the more predictable every single play becomes on the field so as a higher ranked player its almost like we know whats going to happen next and we take action accordingly. It is very hard to just be as good as we are but that just comes with playing, dont stop playing ranked and keep qing a lotttt of games and you should start flying through the ranks. You got it!

Gotta up your diamond game, they are not that slow. People be speed flipping, jump shots, wall shots, some air dribbles. Aerial shots.. all that like crazy in plat. Diamond just does it all faster, with a bit more on skill and accuracy.

Watching your diamond lobby, is like most of the gold 3 lobbies i see. Yes they miss more, is not as fast, and less accurate. But the mechanics shown in this video is on the same level. The speed at what everything is done, is the biggest difference. Your lobby just did it faster.
