In this video, I'll show you the fastest guaranteed way to get an S class freighter, this works for both sentinel and venator class freighters and will not fail. All you have to do is get some units, 175,000,000 will do and some starship fuel, and keep flying from 3 star economy to 3 star economy until you find a freighter battle, you must first have played for at least 3 hours and made 5 warp jumps excluding black holes. once you've found a freighter battle, with the freighter you want, make a save and keep destroying the prates until you get the S class, its that easy!

Another thing you can do is warping to Another Sytem using the freighter and a lot of Times when I do this a bunch of Fleets will appear randomly And I go from Fleet to Fleet adding frigates to my Fleet and investigating the capital ship of said Fleet but its kind of tedious but you usually will get a huge amount of ships appear randomly

Can confirm this strategy works. Not only did it work, but it did in fact cancel out the space battle so I didn’t have to do it, and I was able to just reload on the station in the system until I got my S class for my first freighter. Resurgent Venator, S class in red and black. Took about 12-15 reloads to get S. The hardest part was probably just finding the exact capital I was looking for, getting it to load as an S wasn’t all that bad once I got this strategy figured out. Also, yes I got a couple of A class ones and the stats are so similar to S that if you’re really having trouble getting an S, just settle for A, unless you’re like me and determined to get that S. Keep in mind, the first time I tried this strategy and saved on the station where the battle was happening, the entire thing just despawned on me, the battle and the freighter itself just disappeared and forced me to restart the 3 hour CD timer and also had to look for my Resurgent Venator again, which for me was the most difficult part because I was only searching 3 star systems in order to maximize my chances of S class.

@@thediamondgauntlet8888it stays if you are saving and reloading but if you are waiting on a certain system for 3 hours that won’t happen you have to warp into the space battle it so t just happen as you play in 1 system for 3 hours itself you have to warp 3 times as well

To get to the core try and get all the glyphs, find travelers at stations and talk to them a few times until it’s says “ask where they’re from” then you wanna go to the marker. There’s 16 glyphs, get them all. Look up how to find a portal and then once you find one enter the first glyph 12 times and it’ll take you like 5000 ly from the core. Idk if you know this already lol, but just tryna help.

Do NOT RUN UP TO THE CAPTAIN! On freighter as soon as you are outside your ship. Scan the floor or wall of freighter and it will give you all its class details. If not S class then reload last auto save immediately. Do NOT give up. I have a new save running, went for S class and did 60 reloads. - Nothing!! Today i carried on and got S after 2 loads ( 62 in total with yesterday) if i had ran to the Captain everytime i would still be on about load 40.

If anybody recent watching this please be aware that the save method when finding your desired ship and docking the station before the fight was patched! It does not work anymore. You need to save in a previous star system and keep warping to the system you found your capital ship. You will lose the ship! It’s been patched and I learned it the hardway 😢

@@juansolorzano9615 it was a blessing in disguise for me, I kept searching the t3 economy for S-class and couldn’t find it for hours. Then jumped to a pirate system and within the first 10 encounters I got S-class ship that I wanted. Try pirate systems once your cool-down is up if you haven’t yet! (Inv and tech slots are rolled random and can be less than A class on S class ship in pirate system) but it’s not a problem as can you max it regardless with upgrades

I followed the instructions to make a new save once I found the style of ship I wanted, and doing so ended the mission (was supposed to be my free freighter). I had to leave the system and warp back again and it restarted the event.

Just a heads up you can enter the ship you run across even in the middle of a freighter battle this way you will know if you want said Freighter or not. Have to update in 2022

I’ve been trying and trying and I haven’t been able to find anything bigger than the medium sized venator (4 partitions vs. 6 partitions) can the size change each encounter or is a system’s ship size locked in place too?

From my experience it's mainly luck for the size of ship and type of capitol. The first couple of times I got venators but now im only seeing sentinals

This doesn't work anymore. When I ignored the pirates and landed on the station, then went to the freighter again, there was no battle anymore. When I reloaded the save, the battle was on, but when I won, I got immediately rewarded and no invitation for free freighter. When I reloaded the restore point (from the station) and got to the freighter, it didn't have any fight. Looks like they patched it and now restoring from the station doesn't work anymore, and I have to reload the save from the starting system, and then I may not get a freighter attack situation at all. So basically, this killed all the tricks and infinite reloading to get the freighter you want.

I have been trying for a good 4 hours just trying to get the event to even spawn. Traveled to nearly 30 3 star systems and it just doesn't want to spawn. I did get it to spawn a long time ago on accident but i let the dreadnought get away so maybe that has something to do with it, but idk. Help me please

It’s 5 warps in a 3 hour session, to my knowledge it doesn’t matter if you die but if you turn the game off then it resets and you must do another 3 hours and 5 warps

Having a really hard time in the actual battle. Especially the missiles attacking civilian fleet. Not enough experience handling missiles then disabling capital ship before it escapes. Still in Euclid galaxy and not quite ready yet to attempt traverse into galaxy core and leap into another galaxy. Did the reset however unprepared. Lost a great deal of resources and damaged a lot of my equipment. Gonna make sure to cannibalize everything and transfer to other cargo slots of other vehicles and ships to negate said damage.

The 3 hrs play time and 5 warps is partially true. While you still have to warp the 5 times to trigger the battle, the 3 hrs is not true. I had made 4 of the 5 warps in a little under 1.5 hrs playtime, turned my console off, took a bit of a break and came back. When I came back I worked on upgrading my living ship, then made the final 5th jump. It triggered the battle after the warp in under 1.5-2hrs timeframe

Literally just happened to me.. I guess HG wants to make sure it’s as difficult as possible to get the one you want but now I have to start over. Honestly I don’t use my freighters inventory much (which is weird since I mostly live out of it, but I do use the 10 storage containers and have 6 maxed ships for storage) so I’m thinking about going for a regular freighter. Still scratching my way around this game after 150 hours in and settling for a B class freighter capital ship from a C class. Having problems with contending with pirate or sentinel class ship freighter protecting civilian freighter capital ship from missiles even with 4 S class support fighters in my squadron.. not rushing it because died 3 times on my first attempt on a derelict salvage freighter. Looking for a strategy now to take on pirate or sentinel capital ship attacking civilian fleet. Not having any problems with taking on starship fighters.

I warped for the 5th time and got the fight....i went to the space station for auto save and i go back to the fight, destroyed the ships and go in to the freighter...C Class....I reload the game, when i leave the space station there is no fight or freighter....did something wrong?

Battle only happens when you warp to the system by the looks of it. By saving and reloading you pretty much reset the whole thing.

Nobody is telling how to find 3 star systems, only "go, find one". I assume, we must seek for the highest economy, but since there are many descriptions suggesting those, it's a bit tricky and confusing. Are there any other tricks how to find 3 star systems?

You need to install an economy scanner onto your ship. Once you have one, systems on the galaxy map will display either 1, 2 or 3 stars

@@unknwnn7673 I already have it, and it doesn't display that information. So far I accidentally found 3-star system but without race. I am looking at the galaxy map and neither graphically nor by numbers can I see any info about the number of the stars. I've looked on various YT videos and they only says "jump from 3-star systems to 3-star system" but when they show the map, it looks the same as for me, no info about the amount of starts. So the most crucial thing is omitted and all those videos are useless.

Only the first freighter in the game you buy is for free, the rest you get a discount for. 175 million units s a little over what you could need, last thing you want is to arrive at your dream freighter and you can't afford it.
