You don't have to cancel 6 voyages of cargo, instead just cancel 6 times any tall tale and let the seventh be the cargo run voyage, this will make it much faster and this way you don't need to buy that many voyages :D

@@GoBlueHTB The thing is, for Reapers, just by placing them on your boat you should gain some grade, but instead, try raising the Reapers flag at Reapers Hideout, and just by selling 25-35 crates, between plants/silks/bottles and other crates that the merchant sells, you should be grade 5. More precisely, the order would be: steal the loot sneaky without reapers flag, go to any outpost, buy all the commodities, then vote for a cargo run, take those crates, vote and cancel any tall tale 6 times, and then vote for another cargo voyage and repeat, then go to the Reapers Hideout, vote for the emissary flag there, and start selling those crates BEFORE the actual good loot, that way you sell the good loot at grade 5. Hope I made myself clear with this long explanation haha :D

Hey Toxie! Just wanted to point out that if you buy the captained cargo runs they are 4X as expensive as buying individual voyages, so if you don't have as much money opt in for that instead. Individual voyages (at level 50) are 200 gold each, meaning purchasing 5 of them costs 1K, whereas the bundles of 5 from the shipright are 4K. Up to the player to decide if they would rather pay up or take more time.

It could work but it would then really depend on how fast you can get invaded. You may end up waiting for quite some time before you get a match and then when you win, you have that 15-20min grace period before you get invade again.

this is a gamechanger toxie, it takes me about 2 and a half wins per level at 400+ and its been killing me. i think the only downside to this method is the 20 minute cooldown for invasions. aside from this this may be what i do till 1000!

i just sometimes stack world events while doing hourglass u make some money while also gaining xp, only downside is u end up in fights with multiple ships fighting u we did a 5 stack fotd while doing hg and at some point we had 4 ships coming after us

How would this compare to doing a lost shipment? Go find the key, then raise HG and pick up the loot from the shipwreck. I haven't tried it, but I imagine those crates would be higher value than the cargo loot(?)

That would take way longer. Grabbing that cargo loot probably takes 20 mins tops for g5 faction stash. A lost shipment wouldn't get you to a g5 faction stash.

For some reason you can purchase the commodities and leave the server, come back and the commodities will still be there waiting to be picked up. Dunno how long they stay, but i left the game for weeks and they were still there to collect from the merchant. You should be able to put up the athena emissary that way.

I never really done any merchant runs from any ports and only picked up random merchant stuff to possibly sell and I pick up random treasure chests and cursed chests as I pick up gems, trinkets, skulls and the odd ashern key

Sea Forts. I have been doing these for a few weeks. You get all the food and balls you need, plus you get a loot level 3 almost everytime. You get 3 quarters a level when you win. Give it a try.

Certainly not fast enough, past 50 lvls, its still going to take you a grade 5 and 2 wins to get even a level. (correct me if im wrong) So, is it worth doing? Not in my opinion, this method takes too much time and patience. What will you do, if after 2 hours of waiting to get invaded, you get an evadive (no pun intended) d*ckweed, who's just running and running, and its someone you can't catch or sink? Thats 2 hours wasted.

its not good lol depends on ur skill level and ur elo u might not get invaded quickly for instance yesterday was doing miles with friend on sloop 3 hours and got 3 fights im lvl 586 and with grade 5 stash i would have not even gained as many levels if i dived normally this is pointless unless u do not like to constantly dive and instead want to wait it out i guess for me my elo is high i be fighting some sweaty sweats so i dont get many fights may be different for other people and prolly depends on region too just a thought

Use merchant glitch for resources, load up, then do fight. You'll have to invest about 100k-150k each, but each crate is a piece of treasure so... 🤷 Do the math 😅😁
