With some modern tech that could be a great weapon.

"Your not big enough and theres not enough of you to get me back in that plane" its honestly impressive that they got a test pilot to say that those guys are fucking insane and dont fear anything so this plane was REALLY bad

An update on your PT boat video where you were surprised at John F. Kennedy being a PT boat commander. His boat was cut in two by a Japanese destroyer. He managed to get his crew to an uninhabited island and came across a pair of islanders. He cut a message into a coconut and the islanders paddled 35 miles to his base who sent a rescue boat to pick them up. The captain of the destroyer that destroyed his boat later attended his inauguration as President.

And there is a very very catchy song for it too. And during that entire situation, JFK towed a injured member after the initial incident with a strap in his teeth for the 3.5 miles to land. And then JFK proceeded to swim another 2 miles alone to try to signal a passing american ship from another island, swam back. 2 days after that, him and another member helped all the injured and starving crew members swim almost 4 miles to yet another island (yet again towing the one member with his teeth), and then swam another .5 miles to find fresh water for his crew where he finally found help that managed to get a rescue to them 2 more days after that. That man swim a fucking lot during that incident and actively saved people in the process. So that is a total of 12 miles he swam in the span of 5 days. Again ocean currents some times and towing a full grown person with his teeth at other times.

Just have deaf pilots. Fly low as a squad and fuck up everyone's day.

That doesn't really fix the problem of the plane literally vibrating itself to pieces, while also making people nearby have problems. As much as I would have loved to have it enter service so there was a higher chance of having a flying one today as it is among my fave planes right up there with the B-36 peacemaker, the YB-35 and the YB-49

@@grimalkin6676 Realised that after I made the joke. The plane is an accident waiting to happen and would probably lead to organ failure and such long term due to the strain on the pilots bodies. The only way you could make it feasible is to redesign it from the ground up, suppress as much noise to the cockpit as possible while ensuring whatever you make won't shake apart due to mechanical strain. Expensive, requires a lot of research and while admittedly it would fuck up the day of anyone on the ground it would also likely be shot down in short order. Just turning the engine itself into a sound based weapon could work but that's a whole other can of worms.

@@solillman2350 Yeah. Still a great (if not dumb) plane design. I hope fat electrician does a videon on the YB-35 or 49 next~

All I'm hearing is that this would make a fantastic unmanned vehicle in the modern day because it doesn't even need weapons. It's presence is the weapon. Make it out of modern materials, strip any weapons off, put an insulated computer on it with some remote controls instead of a pilot's seat. Now you're cooking with warcrimes.

You probably know of Allison because of construction work. They make a lot of heavy duty transmissions.

Engines too, they supplied engines to such famous airplanes as the P-40 Hawk, P-38 Lightning, and (early) models of the P-51.

That really doesn’t get talked about. That thing is 6 miles up, in air so thin that most people need oxygen masks to survive, and that thing sounds like a race car from 2 feet away

When you spoke on the volume, you seemed to forget that the recording was made on the ground. The aircraft was 6 miles overhead.

I grew up fairly close to the Lockheed Marietta plant. They would test out their U2s, and we got to enjoy regular sonic booms.

Would that recording make a difference and how loud it was if you knew that that was recorded at 6.6 miles away that's if it was at 30,000 or 35,000
