i've been an orbit since girl front. 2019 was horrible and i feel so sad thinking of it sometimes. i have seen so many old orbits leave because loona's sound has "changed". im so thankful to be an orbit and to know loona, and that their new sound is still the loona sound :) here's to being with our moon girls!

Am I the only one who is afraid to lose Chuu from Loona after BBC said they sit her out, AGAIN, for their 1st world tour because of schedules conflict? Chuu is what brought me in to Loona and I am only 1 month old orbit. Dear god, please, don't let Chuu being separated again from her members, especially Kim Lip.

I knew they went through something but didn't know it was this bad. So heartbreaking just by watching this, I can't imagine how much pain and uncertainty they went through during those time just to fulfill their dreams. I really want to thank them for enduring everything and as a new fan, I will support them with all my heart. Let's walk on the flower path from hereon 😭😭😭

Been a proud Orbit since Jinsoul's "Singing In The Rain" ..The Drought was extremely depressing, and in my opinion was indeed deliberate, calculated, strategic attempts at sabotaging to end LOONA.. And you have to wonder WHY?

Thank you for making this. I've been an Orbit for almost 5 years now and it's good to look back and reflect on the events of 2019. To say that it's been a wild ride is an understatement. Being a fan of this group has meant going through some heartwrenching moments at times, but on the other hand it made all the achievements thus far even sweeter. 2019 was really was really a tough year for both members and fans, at the time it was really hard to discuss the group's future without an ounce of anxiety and negativity, especially in the hands of BBC's managment. I can imagine that a lot of fans began to lose interest during this time because of lack of faith in BBC and the group's future. I like to imagine that message of Butterfly was sort of prophetic for what was to come for LOONA. A catterpillar has to grow its wings but it does not come without its hardships, in the same way that LOONA faced their many struggles in order to move forward as a group. And it wasn't all in vain as the members became more resilient with amazing teamwork, and probably the best performance group working in the industry right now. In that way I feel that the Butterfly era will forever be enshrined as one of the pinnacle moments in LOONA's growth - one of many chapters in the amazing journey of the group. It's never been easy for LOONA or Orbits, but resilience was what has kept us going and will continue to carry us forward. Though finally it seems that LOONA's toughest times are behind them. If you told Orbits 3 years ago that in 2022, LOONA was going to appear on Queendom, go on a world tour AND also have SNS freedom we would've called you crazy. It's really amazing what we've gotten this year and I'm sure many Orbits new and old will not take what we have now for granted. With just one day away from another comeback, I hope we can continue to flip the narrative of 2019 and for LOONA and Orbits to reach even greater heights - for this comeback and beyond.

New orbit here hehehe I came to like them on Queendom. I've been reading posts like this on reddit since I got curious when I saw a tweet regarding loona in the year 2019 --but I can't seem to understand because they all seem over the place (except on jaden jeong) I really appreciate that this is presented chronologically --I can picture it out. I'm in deep thought in every event happened because I haven't encountered those with my faves. I hate to say, It looks sabotage for me ... Tbh, I'm speechless but enlightened. Thank you.

2019 was such a rough year.. i remember staying up and paying for votes for loona and the frenzy between orbits and monbebes (alligator was the biggest song for monsta x at the time), it was a difficult vote but it felt so good that they won. and then it just counted for nothing. a very frustrating era for loona and orbits, and one that for us remaining orbits is a testament to how hard we've all worked because we love these girls that love their work being idols.

This video almost brought me to tears. I knew about Loona since YYXY days, but I officially stanned them right as Butterfly dropped. 2019 was both a blessing and a curse for me because I finally got into Loona and when I was awaiting for their next comeback or even promotion activities/content, there was barely anything. I’m glad that Loona is now in a better position with sns freedom, finally getting domestic attention, etc. I just really hope we never experience loonathedrought ever again.

I’ve been an orbit since Go Won’s debut and 2019 in my personal life was great, LOONA was struggling so much. I’ll never forget the dread I would feel every time I opened Instagram or Twitter. I was so afraid of disbandment news. As an Oldbit™️ I’ve been with this fandom through so much. I have a feeling I’ll be sobbing when they perform Butterfly tomorrow. It’s my FAVORITE lead/promoted single on any LOONA album.

I became an orbit since March 2019 after the Butterfly promotions ended, and that time I'm waited when the next comeback came but there are many horrible things happened to them that year. And it was so sad. I feel not interested them when So What released because of LOONA sound change. Will the dreamy vibes until the # album was gone. But I wanted to support them no matter what. After I became a fan of other groups, LOONA is still one of my favorites so far. And I'm glad I'm still an orbit around 3 years and counting. I hope after Queendom 2, LOONA will become popular on Korea and more international fans. LOONA & Orbit Fighting!✊

I became an orbit in June 2019, after the butterfly era had ended. I was so happy back in those days, I loved Loona and their songs so much since I was a new orbit and when I think back to those times it’s a lot of happy memories. It’s sad that in those days when I used to jump around listening to their songs so happily, it was actually a dark time for the girls. I remember I was so happy that they received the love that they deserve at Kcon in 2019 and with all their previous content still left for me to watch, I didn’t really feel the drought all that much. I really hope that now after Queendom 2, the girls can finally get more opportunities. Queendom made me fall in love with Loona all over again, and I’ll be honest, I did fall out with their new songs after So What and wasn’t that big of a fan of ptt and why not. But pose is actually so good, their choreo was so great and I hope we see them perform it more in the future😆😆

Wow this was really well made. I still can't believe we went through all of that together. Definitely a mix of misfortune, mismanagement, and sabotage going on. Wish Korea would just follow the international hype and support the girls. After Queendom 2, they will stop being the rising girl group and finally break away from the cocoon they're in and fly like the butterflies they are 🦋

I hope this gets more views before the next episode. So others understand how much they truly went through. I see other groups get upset with small stage errors, but that is so much better than not even getting the chance to perform. It also bothered me when the girsl were saying sometimes they wondered if it was normal to wait and if this is all they could do because they had nothing to practice (no training and no new song). Hearing that reminded me of Lee Gaeul's situation (Produce 48 and suppose to be IZ*ONE member). I hope they never have that situation again. I don't wish that feeling on ANY kpop group.

Butterfly could have been an ICON for 2019 kpop music. I believe that Butterfly was destined to be something that any kpop fan could never forget, like, every time an kpop fan listen the word "LOONA" the first thing in their mind was BUTTERFLY, but unfortunately the things didn't went like that... However, I think BBC should do an repack from XX on the album's bday, maybe with the 3 ballads and same butterfly remixes, I guess it would be really cool, considering that it's the only LOONA album and it's the ORBITS album, cause, I mean, they know that orbits love butterfly and the impact that butterfly was to us.

seriously loona and orbits are the only ones who will be there for each other. its sad to say but this group was so mistreated and only until recently have the girls been able to express themselves more. unfortunately there's still a lot wrong in bbc and we can only continue to support loona. I have only respect for this group and especially predebut orbits. we were all there when favorite came out and the months and months of agonizing from that point on. if the queendom fandora ep. taught me anything is that loona is gonna be hated no matter what they do...they are ahead of their time and everyone will see how big of a mistake they made by ignoring them

I'm a new fan of Loona and wanted to understand why Butterfly is so important to orbits, since I wasn't following them when this whole situation was happening. Your video provided a lot of insight but I'm confused about a few things. Loona undoubtedly got screwed over and things were uncertain for them and the fandom, but you also said that the only loona content during the drought was vlives, festival performances, dance covers, and some variety shows--that's a lot more active than most groups are between comebacks? I also feel like no comeback news between late february and july is pretty normal, like it's not super long of a wait and not something I personally would have worried about, though I understand why fans were concerned as the months went on. I guess the gist of what I'm saying is while I get that fans were upset about certain situations and why they were concerned about loona's future in the latter half of 2019, I don't understand why they were so worried about it so early. If someone could give me more info on this that would be great :)
@loonova58802 жыл бұрын
Hi! So while yes, there was a lot of content coming out, it was never new music or a comeback teaser which is why it’s called “the drought.” 365 was the first new LOONA song in 10 months.

I’ve been in kpop for awhile, but I discovered LOONA just after Hi High released. I’m so glad I’ve gotten the chance to get to know these girls through every LOONATV, every music video, every performance, every everything. Here’s to the LOONA family that brought us to this very moment.
