Hey. This video's audio quality had filters, but Sony Vegas's audio filters gave up on me so now enjoy my hoarse throat. Honestly, I don't know what this video is. Sometimes, there's this urge to just create. Just express my thoughts in a video without a care in the world. It's just my musings. Just a video to chill, and edit in my own style or something. I'm not sure either.
My own personal curiosities.
Fate, for me is such a weird concept. I hate the concept of fate. I hate the idea that someone up there has this predestination for humanity. It makes life boring. To follow a path destined to you by a god. How horribly bland. I don't care if the path is good or not, the mere possibility that there's a god watching over us that has our whole lives laid out is so...disgustingly small.

I feel like the Traveler and their Sibling are basically changing fate because they're in Teyvat in general. Imagine if they didn't show up in Mondstadt, Dvalin would have been fully corrupted by Durin's poison, destroying the city in the process and forcing the Knights of Favonius to rely on the Fatui.

Maybe even in Liyue, the adepts and Qixing might have failed to defend Liyue harbor hence forcing Morax to step in. And the Fatui plans being set back/changed. Or Inazuma where Yae would hav never traded the gnosis to Scara, and Ei never having her will shaken. 😯

This made me think of Shenhe's backstory, born under two stars, destined to hurt others and herself because of her homicidial tendencies. Losing a mother at young age and a father that went insane because of grief. An normal girl that never asked to be born to bear a curse of calamity. There's Albedo, his existence basically defies all natural creation, his life was man-made, an copy of the real thing --- an humonculus. Created by the Art of Khemia, an science that is considered an heresy within the lands of gods. He is aware that his life is ticking bomb, he will lose control and destroy Mondstat, one way or another. But there's a comfort, even if they are marked by unfair fate. Their own actions, emotions and how they live their own lifes is up to them, and nobody else. Fate is like a journey, but is the wanderer is who decides on how to end or reach that destination.

I personally love Ashekai's crack theory that the Traveler is actually a shapeshifter. When we summon a character we're doing something magic-y to connect to their essence, gaining the ability to take on their form and do their thing. Then acquiring their constellations deepens the connection with them. That explains why we can be running around Inazuma as Ningguang but she's still wheeling and dealing in Liyue like always, etc.

My take is this. Teyvat is like a simulation that is allowed to run its course, but is eventually reset and starts over (like the matrix). And the constellations are the past and/or future versions of a character. When we summon their constellations we "unlock" more of their full potential. Hence they become stronger with more constellations. And there are 6 constellations because Teyvat has been reset 6 times so far

Also it's weird that the Traveler and sibling (presumably) has their own constellation (they do right?) Even though the constellations are fake stars formed from erminsol fruits (got this theory from Ashikai) meaning it's not just Teyvat but the entire universe has stars in the form of erminsol fruits. Because the siblings are world jumpers. Also, that explains why alchemy, dragons and all were common phenomena in the previous worlds Aether/Lumine travelled to previously. It's one gigantic simulation.

the constellations are your memories or friends you make. When you use another character in-game, that does not mean that character is following you around. that means the traveller remembers them and releases their abilities.

This also, to me, is another reason why I say that we may be travelers, but we are not *the* travelers (aka Aether or Lumine). The traveler travels only with paimon with a singular focus of completing his journey, only occasionally visiting back to old places for canon events such as archon quests or festivals. Meanwhile, we the players get to 'intertwine' with 'fates' and do whatever the heck we want with whoever the heck we want with no effect on the canon plot as the characters we pull for and use have no recollection of us and our adventures together. Maybe that's why the sustainer of heavenly principals was so against the travelers going to teyvat-- we (the players) are literally breaking fate

Interesting. Personally i believe what we see on our screens as we play is events happening out of order. For example, I got Yanfei before Traveler went to Liyue. I believe in canon, Traveler goes to Liyue first, then meets Yanfei and invites her on random adventures in Monstadt. It's just that me, the player, experiences time non-linearly.

I was under the impression that the Traveler resonated with the other characters and literally used their knowledge or memories of each character akin to a Face Dancer from one of Frank Herbert's Dune novels. The more star constellations they aquire for each character the greater the resonance and the longer they tune into a specific character the deeper the connection unlocking more and more memories. (This is just my opinion based on characters in our party not actually existing during story arcs) An interesting fact about the Moriai you might find interesting as well, did you know their mother was Nyx, a Proto Genosi, as in one of the first born God's directly beget from Chaos itself. Nyx's sister Gaea was the one who gave birth to the Titans who later beget the God's, while Nyx referred to as the Goddess of Night gave birth to thousands of godlike children. I bring this up since Nyx's home was always in the Underworld specifically Tartarus a realm below Hades roughly the same distance as Hades existed below the mortal realm. To me she very well could be the Night Mother referred to in Genshin lore and as such worthy of investigating as she is mother to the Fates themselves.

It can be kinda silly, but I LOVE when the lore and game's systems coordinate. There's standard stuff like explaining why you respawn like Dark Souls' bonfires or Axiom Verge's rebirth chambers, but when it gets meta it's even more fun. Players that gave up on Dark Souls being the hollows is my favorite example, but this theme of fate in Genshin is also really cool. Also, this could be a very simple explanation for why the ''sky is a lie'', perhaps Scaramouche merely saw that it can be altered. Idk though, iirc there's a lot of other weird stuff other theories cover that this doesn't.

Reminds me of the Fateless One (playable character) from Kingdom of Amalur: Reckoning. By the the end of the game (not really a spoiler) they give Fate a massive middle finger and to the rest of the world the gift of self determination.

There's just something about the Traveler that always seem to bug me, it's as if them being stranded in Teyvat is a form of fate coming into play like how Traveler was meant to meet all the characters in game and thus play a bigger role. Or due to them being an alien "one who dares defy fate" is how we reach to the point in game of saving other nations. Like how the Traveler came just at the right place, right time (maybe wrong time too for the plans of the other factions) and the decisions we make seem to affect the very fate of those around us. Like certain characters in game would be thankful they get to meet the Traveler one being Kazuha and I think Mona too would mention how fate brought them together. While playing Ruu's quest (a bit of a tangent) I noticed how Traveler came just in time to finally putting to rest Ruu's soul (maybe not his actual soul or a memory of Ruu created by the Leylines since they record the memories of the people), could it also be fate? If Traveler had not descended to Teyvat, would we all reach to the conclusion we are in? Likely similar to a catalyst of some sorts allowing all the reactions to occur as it is. I still very much think Dain's line is more than just a foreshadowing as we see it in action in the Traveler at the very moment. It be pretty cool if the decisions or choices we make in game could lead to different endings (but I highly doubt Mihoyo would do something that big) after all despite the dialogues leading to different responses, it still very much has a same flow no matter what you choose.

Regardless of whatever "fate" is imagined by the Unknown God, the factions of Teyvat, or anyone else in the Genshin Impact story...sometimes it isn't so much what actually is determined that is changed through one's interference in others' lives as much as changing what others *believe* to be fate. Making people aware of choices and pathways that, whether by happenstance or someone's plotting, got blocked off from their sight. It's easy for someone who benefits from manipulating perceptions and outcomes to their advantage to panic when someone goes about opening up options for people that the manipulator didn't want to have available to others.

Pretty cool. Interesting to note, in mandarin, fates are called 缘, which is from the word 缘分 basically meaning "meant-together-ness". It can be used in a romantic or platonic sense. A wish is the Traveler's hope that they and their companions are meant to be together.

Despite the remnants being almost all around Teyvat, why is it no one else, human, are researching more about it? Or asking questions? Have humans been warned about it? I think that when the primordial one was the God and ruler of tevayt there was no fate as he wanted humans do make their own decisions. I think Dain isn’t far fetched when he says that the new Osial corrupted with abyssal magic and upgraded with Khaenriah’s technology, would over throw/engulf the thrones especially when you consider that abyssal magic can easily kill an Archon and so this might even kill the gods of Celestia but maybe not as easy as killing an Archon.

This was an amazing video! "Fate is more of a general direction than a clearly defined path. Though the destination may be unchanging, the future is yours to choose." Is a take I like and I think it's fitting here too as I feel many are obviously trying to forge the path the Traveler takes, but at the end it's their choice what kind of impact they make in this world. For sure the characters who have insight to the future or fear what thier own future holds for them, are putting their trust in the Traveler after seeing what they are capable of in hope the seemingly inevitable fate can take a different turn.

I doubt the constellation bit. In the zhongli story quest the playable zhongli(who is the real world zhongli) was c2 and the raiden we got to play in the story quest was c3 if I recall correctly. Just a gameplay mechanic nothing more. He is able to invite people into the pot and is visibly shaken when they poke fun at him no reason to do that if they were just copies or memories

Tbf xiao agrees to go to the lantern right in his voice lines which you can only hear if you have him in game. And if you got him in game he does go to the lantern right with you, but only if you have him. Which makes accounts pretty unique. We know that all players start off as the traveler but no account is the same. So every account can be thought of as an alternative universe, the protagonist changes based on which twin you choose, you build different relationships based on friendship levels with your characters, but no matter what every account has the same archons quests. So maybe you can never really change your fate.

So, to reweave, it has to be weaved first. Is the abyss sibling is the one who weave the fates through the abyss side and traveler is the one has to reweave it? Or the Teyvat's fate as a world itself is already weaved by Celestia, and the both siblings being on the opposite side, is constantly reweaving the fate together? I revisited the "We Will Be Reunited" chapter on my alt acc today, it makes me wonder, the abyss siblings told the traveler to experience the world to understand their decision, they only need the traveler to understand them rather than ask to join the abyss. I'm kinda curious about the twin relationship. In that chapter, traveler literally can sense their twin presence through the dandelion that the twin stepped on, so they must have strong connections with each other. So I assume the abyss sibling knows the path they choose is not exactly the "good" path and don't wanna drag the traveler into the chaos. That's why in the end, Dainsleif ask if we will be worthy to save the twin, probably because of the doom twin got caught deep into by choosing that path.

I always thought every player in genshin is like a multiverse where either aether or lumine is the one going on a journey while the other joins the abyss n each one is accompanied by different people, like some aether's there r accompanied by amber Kaeya or Lisa or in my case fish barbs and Thomas. I saw this short comic before of a lumine player cooping w an aether player n aether breaks down crying cuz she looks like his sister. She then explains to him she's not her n he is not her brother either but both are going thru the same thing. It's like in every world 1 of the twins is always fated to join the abyss..

Now, if you go into your serenitea pot then you can invite them there, are they real or they are another projection of traveler's illusion.. what's going on 🤔

So, I would say, that in the teapot we have the real characters and in our party, just the travelers projection. The problem is, that we can only put characters in the teapot, if we did get them by wishing. As some voice lines suggest (Yoimia: You pushed me in there) I would say l, teapot characters are real. If I switch to Yoimia as my character, there are two Yoimias, one real and one projection. We also know, that the traveler tells them, that they can always go in his teapot. In other words: Wherever a character is, if they have been in the teapot, they can alway enter, no matter what. This further implies, that they can teleport there, presumably by using teleport waypoints, if there are any. We now, that Kathereine knows about waypoints, so why not Vision holders too. Although I have no ideas how it would work, if you have no waypoints in your teapot. Then there is something we have to figure out. A simpler solution is, that they join the teapot once and then never again. The teapot remembers them and leaves a second projection at there place.

It also explains why characters disappear sometimes, if you meet them at another place. There's a good chance, this theory is just wrong anyway. I didn't think too long about it.

My understanding and believe that fate is unchanging but it's not forced but it's your story beginning and end. Fate is the life of every soul everything known before it happened but fate is not however a forge that everyone has to go through "The first thing Allah did was to make a pen he then told the pen to write everything that's going to happen and it was set in stone" Kinda hope someone would see fate this way and get motivated instead of getting downed

This might sounds funny since I pull out what chunk of religious info I have growing up, but to make it brief, there are 2 fates, one you can change, one you can not. First fate the unchangeable: your birth & your death are the one set in stone, but the other one, is a fate you can change, your partner, your wealth your status, friends, job etc, are changeable to some degree (bcs this is religious, for sure, through praying) So fate is CHANGEABLE, but in the same time just because you escape death here doesn't mean you change your fate, you just not written to die that time, if like otto in honkai find a way to make universe to save his crush from death, it is not him defying death, it is him unlocking a world that have his crush's fate hasn't met death yet, she will die but not the way she is or not in her current state, otto just unlocking new world & new fate, not creating them. It's like you are in a great hall with 1000 door and you frantically find which door that doesn't have the dead body My theory is that primodial one in genshin had things planned to face the cycle of teyvat, there's always a promise of renewal, they are ready to ensure humanity prosperity but they can't directly involve them, what they have is top secret say, but humanity want to be involved & take matter to their own hand thus my suspect is recent celestia took over & become severely harsh to humanity, because they once disturb a plan that was made to ensure a longevity of a cycle. My understanding that Primodial one is alien that seek refuge/another world to live in still stand, so in no way they will try to make it hard for human to live, but they need rules & sadly that rules & system kinda fuck some people over

Yeah, As a Christian my points of view of Fate is changeable You were birthed and you will still die, But It's up to you what kind of fate you're trying to reach, like being a good person, ect It's like the saying that people should follow God's plan, it also means that some people stray from it, so it's dependant on our own choices

Interesting how the Traveler is a "star' themselves, seeing that that's what constellations are made up of... so they can literally call down other stars, summon a copy of a character, and by calling more stars, complete the constellation and remind the character of their true power.... all because we force fate to bend to our will, simply by wishing.

I think your theory that the world will end unless the traveler "reweaves" fate is further proven by something Dain says in the travail trailer. "None will escape the flames. See for yourself." He's obviously very sure of this, because he knows if fate says that, it will happen. Unless, of course, the traveler reweaves the threads of fate.
