Anyone who’s experienced first hand the cruel illness of dementia will find this film super emotional to watch. Dementia ruins entire families. The sufferer, often in their own world, has moments of lucidity, whereas the family just see its direct effects. That incremental spiral of confusion was wonderfully acted by Sir Anthony. Very real, and all the cast are brilliant. Nice having the insight into the choice of actors for it. “Losing all my leaves” No words 😭 Watch this, then go for a walk afterwards where there are trees to process the effects of this incredible film.

A bit of ironic sadness must be when the actors are talking and Sir Tony is working on all cylinders and then the director shouts, "ACTION" and the character takes over and it must almost be what it's like, moment by moment, dealing with a person whose mind is disintegrating.

On a slightly different topic; I saw Sir Anthony in a movie (that you can watch on KZbin) *MAGIC* where he is a ventriloquist sinking into schizophrenia. As an adult I see that movie on a whole other level. It's scary, but also sad.
