But frankly, left, right, center, it doesn't matter. I believe the entire system is corrupt and only self serving. I'm what you would call an agnostic but I admit that lately I've been thinking a lot about God and whether I should start believing or not. Because if there's so much evil in this world, that must mean there is something good too, right? But I believe it's already too late for me to start believing. Everybody would probably say "why now?" In any case, if He came down to make a whole new system, I would put total faith in that system because we would know it is just and fair in that case. I work with a multinational that used to have its European headoffice in UK. Since Brexit it's weird, because all licenses and all responsibilities with them are moved to mainland offices, but management and sales are still handled through UK. Formaln point of view is they now work for us, because the license holder has final responsibility. Hierarchy is we are a tiny branch office to them. HR have been very much on the compulsory pride celebration and exclusively women's projects track. The UK office is easily over 2/3 women and still complaining about the usual stuff. They also have a toxic, unsafe work environment where the worst offender (a Muslim female) is protected by default no matter how many women she chases off, or how big a mess she makes. I know that at some point I will be called there for introductions to the team, along with our local team. So far the "Head of EU" has been using every trick in the book to postpone, but at some point that will fail. I'm not sure I want to go. Nor that I will make my flight back.

If I see the ratio of women to men at a certain company is bad, I postpone applying for a job there. Indefinitely. Just saw a pretty good offer today from a company Ive worked at previously with a nice salary, it fits my profile, commute isnt too bad. But the reason I left is that I didnt want to subsidize the wages of all the ladies there with my labour productivity. And since then, instead of correcting, they have chased off more of the competent ambitious men and hired more women. The only men I know that still work there are the owners and some technicians who dont have any career aspirations and are just there to collect their paycheck and clock out. I dont want to work at a mediocre business where everything moves at a snails pace. I will either have to coast and be bored or pick up the slack and carry the whole technical department on my back just so management can get a better profit share.
