I have also heard it said that it would be the 73 years that Israel just celebrated and the remaining 7 will require strength to endure the tribulation, because of the labor and sorrow of that time. That would still make the end of the generation 80 years, but it would put the time for the rapture at 2021. Then the setting up of the Kingdom in 2028. Great video. I like your theory too. @@tonjan06790 you are missing that Matthew 24 is speaking to Jewish people about all Jewish things. So, to Address Matthew 24 as people think this is referring to the church... First let’s define things. When tribes are mentioned in the Bible, the subject is Israel. When Nations are mentioned, the subject is Gentiles. Who are the elect of the Bible? Israel. The Bible answers this: Isaiah 45:4
For Jacob my servant's sake, and Israel mine elect, 👈I have even called thee by thy name: I have surnamed thee, though thou hast not known me. 
 Isaiah 65:9
And I will bring forth a seed out of Jacob, and out of Judah an inheritor of my mountains: and mine elect 👈shall inherit it, and my servants shall dwell there. So we see Israel is God’s elect. Let’s look at Matthew 24 where this word shows up. 
Matthew 24:22
And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's 👈sake those days shall be shortened.
Matthew 24:24
For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.👈. So, we see that Jesus/Yeshua is addressing Israel here. In Matthew 24, all the symbolism of Israel is present so we know who he is talking about (fig tree, Judea, Sabbath, Temple). So, Israel is going to experience the things in Matthew 24. God will save a remnant as Noah and his family were sheltered in the ark (type of Israel - sheltered but goes thru tribulation). God will shelter this remnant from the enemy as many will recognize the antichrist when he desecrates the temple and will have to flee at a moments notice. The TRIBULATION is for the SALVATION of the JEWISH nation. God the Father takes Israel back post tribulation. The Gentile church marries Jesus/Yeshua and has been sheltered in heaven during this time.

The problem with calculating the length of a generation to see when Jesus will return is that Jesus never used the words "this generation" to refer to a lifespan. This is where both preterists and futurists get it wrong. There is another solution that is reasonable and that doesn't break scripture in any way. Back in the 80's I was told that Jesus would probably return before 1988. This obviously didn't happen, and of course that was disappointing... but life went on. Then one day I saw a taunting comment made by an atheist who claimed that Jesus prediction failed, you know, because the temple was destroyed and everything was supposed to happen "within a generation". Now of course I was aware of the standard answers to these kinds of problems, but that day I just felt like the whole "generation" thing seemed awkward - trying to push the generation along a slide rule, trying to guess the length of the generation, the fact that Jesus really seemed to be addressing the crowd in front of him.. and so on. I looked at the verse in question but I couldn't figure it out, so I put my Bible down and just uttered a short prayer to God to solve this for me. Then I picked up my Bible again and read the verse once again. This time the word "generation" just kind o stuck out, and then I understood. The word "generation" has two meanings, both in English, and in Greek. It can mean a lifespan, but it can also mean a strain, a people, a family, or something along those lines. I looked at other verses where Jesus used the words "this generation", "this perverse generation", "an evil and unbelieving generation" and so on, and noticed that they all were about the TYPE of generation, and not the length. Then I found the passage of scripture I was hoping to find. One only has to turn back a page from Matthew 24 to see how Jesus actually outlined what he meant by "this generation": “You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to hell? Therefore I am sending you prophets and sages and teachers. Some of them you will kill and crucify; others you will flog in your synagogues and pursue from town to town. And so upon you will come all the righteous blood that has been shed on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah son of Berekiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar. Truly I tell you, all this will come on THIS GENERATION." There are a few interesting things to consider here: 1. "This generation" started at the dawn of mankind, when Abel was killed. 2 Jesus was speaking to the people in front of him. 3. He said "YOU" killed Zechariah, despite the fact that this event occured a few hundred years before any of them were alive. What does this prove? It proves that Jesus was talking to the people in front of him, calling them "this generation", and yet not necessarily speaking about a lifespan. So this is what I think Jesus meant by "this generation will not pass away before all these things will happen". What he is actually saying is that the destruction of the wicked is the last thing to occur on the escatalogical scale. And that is exactly what we see in the book of Revelation. The very last thing to occur before the new heavens and the new earth appear is the second death, when the wicked are thrown into the lake of fire. Recently I found out that there is a scholar who came to the same conclusion. He has published a book about it although I can't remember the title, but it's presented as a rebuttal of Preterism.

The "Zachariah" that was killed was John the Baptist's father, is it wasn't hundreds of years prior. But you have a good argument.

There is only one "Zechariah son of Berekiah" mentioned in scripture (Zechariah 1:1), and as far as I know he is the last martyr of the Old Testament scriptures, so it makes sense that Jesus would name the first martyr up to the last one.

I'm not convinced that he was, but since there is no way for us to prove it either way I'm not going to be dogmatic about it. However, I will leave you with one last objection and point out that according to Hebrews 7:11-16 Jesus was never to become a levitical high priest based on ancestry, but a high priest in the order of Melchizedek. Critics claim this prophecy is not true because the tribulation didn't begin before May 14, 2021. HOWEVER, they have failed to take into account the fact that those who were born on May 14, 1948 did not have their first birthday until May 14, 1949. Therefore, (according to the figtree generation) I expect Christ to return to set up his kingdom on earth by May 14, 2029, which means we can expect the 7 year tribulation to begin sometime before May 14, 2022.

Melissa, You are most probably being saved from a terrible fate. Once you go under the surgeon's knife there is no turning back. Your health will be destroyed. If not already, change to a plant-based diet and consider a juicing program for a while. Other than trauma incidents we should stay clear of the medical industry. Indeed, most of us watchers know of the Fig Tree from Matthew 24. There is another somewhat hidden verse in Hosea that further CONFIRMS Israel as THE Fig Tree. Thanks to modern technology matching word search features on Bible apps. Exciting time to be alive, to witness the unsealing process per Daniel. Hosea 9:10: I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness. I saw your fathers as the firstfruits ON THE fig tree in its first season. The symbolism is readily discernible: 1. Judaic fathers (Abraham, Jacob, Moses) = firstfruits 2. Fig Tree = is thus Israel Cliff notes summary: “I found Israel...the fig tree”

Another interpretation might be clarified by the Fig Tree alluding to the tree that produced the fruit of The Fall, and the symbolic temporary covering of the fig leaves. Jesus' cursing of the tree, saying, "None eat of you again." at the occasion of Pesach is a prelude to His work on the cross.

I think that this interpretation where there is a multilayer meaning for the word generation, seems to be the one that will fulfill the fullness of the prophetic word better than any of the others. A lot of prophecy teaching doesn't recognize that God can fulfill prophecy in a multitude of ways and often with a deeper richer multi faceted meaning. We should not see the word of God as ALWAYS limited to it's most simplistic and literalistic meaning, instead we should see his word as pregnant with profound meaning most of which will remain hidden until the time that God has ordained for it to make clear and unveiled.

I agree that the "generation" refers to the unbelieving jews from the time Jesus spoke the prophesy. "Shall not pass away..." means they will die when the time comes. The Lord God will put them to the sword (Isaiah 65:11-12), wherever they are.

I am not sure that people are getting this interpretation right on the "Fig Tree Prophecy" being the "birthday" of Israel in 1948, as they have all said. She is 73 now. I do think that Jesus would have us to see all the prophecies about Israel in unbelief being cut off, as he went through that with an actual tree. Unbelief gets people cut off. Plus he turns our focus to Daniel 2- and begin to understand rival kingdom; and the Tree in scripture ( in Psalms too) always has to do with people and a kingdom. In Daniel 2 and 7 there are pictures of a horrible rival (Green Mother Earth) gospel that seeks to replace Jesus the Christ and his kingdom, even his bride-heirs, with an Impostor Messiah, and impostor Kingdom, and an impostor Church, Babylon. I think the point of the prophecy of the Fig tree ( and Luke 21 peppers in and the OTHER TREES- Gentiles in unbelief) paired with Jews in unbelief as the progressive Satanic World Wide Kingdom rule of Man and the Devil, as we see in Revelation 12: 3-5. The rival impostor kingdom of cut off in unbelief humanity that bring forth a Transhumanists Pagan and Neo Communists Techno take over. I mean come on, friends, this is clearly what is happening and what Jesus means when he says when you see the Parable of the Fig tree, know that Summer [ Threshing floor of Daniel 2, Aka the Time of Jacob's Trouble is near. Jere 30, } and he also says that He is near too, even at the Door. That would be glorification of the bride heir, and we see that in Revelation 12: 5. See Luke 17 and 21! Daniel 7 is chilling. This has nothing to do with Israel becoming a nation in 48, but rather the over haul of the Great Reset and the Sanhedrin in World Court take over in Israel with the Sanhedrin and the 70 nations, and Noahide Laws. Noahide.org. Even face book under the newly tiled name that was formerly Sanhedrin and the 70 nations is shockingly clear: They want a Jewish Messiah ( Not Jesus they say) to bring about the Redemption of the World! It is very Kabbalah and self -righteousness oriented! This is for a rival kingdoms. Think about the nature of the scripture and what it says will happen when Israel is back in the land in Jeremiah 30, and it brings up what? The Time of Jacob's Trouble. It is even foreshadowed in the book of Genesis when Jacob ( Israel) wrestled with "a man" ( the Angel of the Lord)- aka: Jesus, and all night long this occurs until the "man" touches Jacob's thigh and dislocates it, and Jacob' learns to get his blessing from GOD, in the way that GOD wants. Well, we know that Zechariah says that 1/3 of Jews will repent in belief by the end of the T.O.J.Trouble, the Trib, they would be in tears and would fulfill with Jesus, the Feast of Atonement. ( I am skipping over Feast of Trumpets on purpose, though it has its place and its time of glorification for the bride heirs who were ready). Ecclesia, you are being replaced with Babylon! 100 percent victory in Christ, though.

I agree with your interpretation of this parable. Good Biblical explanation. Remember Hosea 6:6. God desires our love and faithful intimacy of relationship more than burnt offerings. We don't have to be perfect but spiritually mature and pure in heart. Love is a verb. Jesus said you will know them by thier fruits. Jesus did lay out events to watch for in Mathew 24, Luke 21 and Mark 13. He warns us of false teachers, the beginning of sorrows. Then the spurious Messiah (Satan). He shortened this time of Jacob's trouble for his elects sake. Satan will be playing Savior and many who don't have a intimate relationship with God and a love for his word will be taken (2 Thessalonians 2:9-10). Again, God is a geleous God and demands loyalty and Fidelity. We prove our love by remaining in him, by producing spiritual fruit and loving others. And our actual testimony against Satan and his miracles. Jesus declares that he will use his elect to give a testimony against Satan (Mark 13:9-12)(Luke 21:12-18)(Revelations6:9)(Revelations11:7). Remember Mathew 25 (The parable of the 10 virgins) is a continuance of the same context of Mathew 24. We are to be fruitful. Good fruit produces good oil. Those who fall away from truth and get caught up in the cares of this world will not have oil left in their lamps to take that midnight lamp light walk with Jesus when he returns as our Groom. They will not take part in the great banquet. There were no righteous acts to weave thier wedding gound. (Revelations 16:15)Nakedness, and infidelity separates those who don't care about a true faithful relationship with Jesus.(Revelations 20:12-13) We are to test all spirits(1st John 4:1), remain in God and keep God's commandments (John 15) not traditions of men or any pastor who teaches a popular spiritual fruitless perverted version of God's word. I believe that we need to be battle ready to stand up for truth and love through persecution. Many Jews and countless others will come to understanding because of the Holyspirit working through us as we obediently give testimony of Jesus and against Satan. We have the victory already promised. Just as Shadrack Mesheck and Abendigo, we will walk through the fires unscathed because Jesus walks with us.

Another thing I have been thinking about, I was reading a book by the guy who runs the Ministry Revealed youtube channel, and he was talking about how Luke represents the Bride of Christ. Luke's name even means WHITE. I always thought all the disciples died horrific deaths. So I thought it would be interesting if Luke had "escaped" a horrific death. So I googled it and.... NO ONE KNOWS. It said that some scholars think he died a martyr and some think he settled down and died at the age of 84!! Wait what? "84"?!?!? Does Luke's age also contain a rapture clue? Think about it... May 14th is 2 weeks before being perfectly half way through the year, aka almost .5 of a year. So we can say 80.5 years may represent the bride of Christ. Then we have 3.5 years left. HALF of the tribulation is 3.5 years. I dont know if there is something to that but its very fascinating! I just thought if Luke in the bible represented the bride of Christ maybe something else about his life ALSO represented the bride of christ. So I googled when it died and my mind was blown.

I’m convinced the time of tribulation is 14 years total or 21 years in the big picture.
