I was in tikrit from September 05- May 06. I was with a national guard unit and the Iraqi army took things very serious. They would joke and kid around but when it came down to business they definitely took care of it. I never felt scared or worried knowing that the Iraqi army always had my six just like I had their six. Hooah.

Every time i see videos of war zones I can’t help but to look around the areas and think about the dreams that get shattered. Neighborhoods where families raised children and homes that were probably built by someone aspiring to raise a family are now destroyed. Just because some people choose to make other humans eat their ideology. No Idea where they went, if they survived or anything else, just gone.
