To transition to clean energy and green technology like electric cars, the world needs massive amounts of essential minerals. Environmental peacemaker Saleem Ali explains the conflicts already arising between countries rushing to mine and extract these precious minerals - and shows how the world can find a way to cooperate rather than fight resource wars.

The proposal for a 'mineral trust' model is a fascinating approach to managing the resources needed for green energy. It's encouraging to see such forward-thinking solutions being discussed!

*Amazing video, you work for 40yrs to have $1M in your retirement, meanwhile some people are putting just $10K into trading from just few months ago and now they are multimillionaires*

Hello , I am very interested. As you know, there are tons of investments out there and without solid knowledge, I can't decide what is best. Can you explain further how you invest and earn?

The things not factored into this speech, the environmental impacts of mining these important materials. And the fact, that solar panels do not last very long, and they do not recycle easily, so theres a big environmental impact to try and recycle them, and a big environmental impact to build news ones over time. The environmental impact is big with "green" power. Dont be fooled into thinking there is no cost or impact. Theres always a price with every decision we make.

Im surprised that solar energy uses more steel than wind energy. How?

Well I would think that it is requieres more machines made of steel to create the filaments in the solar panels than it is nesesary in the machines to create the wind mills, still is very confusing but I think that panels are more complex than mills

Windmills are not in fact mostly made of steel like you image, but different materials.

The frame structure that holds the panels has to be sturdy. That's one part. There's probably more components to that number as well

Must move to decentralize production and distribution and to deindustrialize the production of essential goods.

FOSSIL FUEL IS THE WAY!!! "Drill baby drill"
@samuelzev4076
@samuelzev4076 Ай бұрын
Wrong again trumpy. fossil fuels are finite resources, if we keep using them it will run out because there’s limited amount of prehistoric fossil available. The only way for fossil fuel to be sustainable is that if it’s renewable which is not because it takes million of years to form. Learn science not conservative nonsense

God loves you and cares for you so that this message reaches you. God is the one who created this large universe and controls it completely. The greatest loss a person loses in this life is that he lives without knowing God who created him and knowing the Messenger of Muhammad, the last of the messengers, and the Islamic religion, the last of the heavenly religions. Great intelligence, before you believe in something or not, is to read it, study it, and understand it well, and after that you have the choice to believe in it or not to believe in it. I advise you to do this now, before you no longer have time to do so. Life is very short. It is just a test, just a passage to eternal life. Great advice to those who... Understands
