100% understand what they're talking about in regards to loss of family members and using humour to cope... My nan died last night (88 years old) And my father passed away just last month too from a heart attack. We were all around my nans hospital bed last night and we were all just so so soulless and drained. Someone asked how are we going to let my cousin know (we live in the UK and she moved to Australia a few years ago) Everyone said its best to wait, as it was around 4am in Australia, and they didn't know how to break it to her. And I simply "y'know, instead of telling her, we could just do a video call, and point the camera THAT WAY...." Everyone laughed, and we all started cracking jokes for the next 15 minutes before we said our goodbyes. Its how my nan would have wanted it. (Just to point out, everyone in my family has a really silly/dark sense of humour)
