I like humble, entertaining and reasonable people to present my entertainment without going to extremes. Even if he presents something I disagree with (hasn't so far) I assume he will do it in a reasonable way. So the principle of reason and humility.

I think the problem is more the monopoly companies get when they are the only distributor. DRM is fine on PC because competition is encouraged as evidenced by sales and such, which doesn't make you feel ripped off.

That is exactly what I was saying to a Friend the other day. What they should have done is started the show with gratitude and how lucky they are to be in a position to make another console in this current global economy. We have allowed them to continue and this is how they repay us. It was the worst reveal of a Console I have ever witnessed. Its like buying a Sail boat to do to a Test track on Nuremberg in Germany.

I wasn't disappointed by what Microsoft didn't show off at their one hour reveal, but what they did show/mention. Nothing that was mentioned interest me as a gamer for the console (not because the lack of games, but because the overemphasis on cable TV). They were mums on their upcoming DRM policies, and I wonder why they bothered with this showing at all.

The applause actually did come from Microsoft employees. They were sitting over in the back and the cheering and applause came mostly from over there.

Don't worry if this model takes off it won't stop just at games. Soon movies, music and other stuff we used to be able to "OWN" will have authentication codes. Forget letting your buddy borrow, "The Muppets take Manhattan.".

I think the worst, "RUMOUR" right now is, If you delete a game to free up space on your hard drive, then a year later decide you want to reinstall it. They charge you! If this is true they are truly FUCKED!

Sorry but when the cops ask can they out a security camera in my bedroom/sitting room, the answer is no. Because they will get warrants (or just hack in) to check the feed to prove you didn't commit a crime.

Nah, the games are linked to the console, so you can delete them and re-install them but if the console breaks down and you need a new console then you will have to pay a fee for every game you bought for them to work again on your new console, I dont know what Microsoft was thinking with this, its a terrible move

I liked the first half of this video. I also like that this video is optimistic and hopeful that their are more possibilities yet to come. Idk just after glorifying the size of the this Console, and just seeing that Goddamn Eye... There's just to much potential here for misuse than benefits... Also! Watching the presentation which I get, they need to show of their new features But so much of it seemed scripted Or unnreal, almost like all recorded and the people on stage were acting on cues

Microsoft already said you NEED Kinect to see you in order to use it. Kinect has to recognize the player in order to play. I suppose when your not using your XBONE you could unplug the internet. But isn't that a pain in the ass, we the consumer, could do with out?

more like they just lost a huge chunk of that audience that got them there, havent you been reading all the peoples reactions to this unveiling? all they showed was TV stuff and remote controling TV with your voice, its faster and more accurate to press a button on a remote control the say "xbox go to tv" it only takes 1 button press to switch over to TV, people arent happy that when they buy a game it cant be used on another console without a fee, good luck if your console breaks down

Many gamers are disappointed of the new xbox, I hope Microsoft will change what they've already done. Not just some entertainment, also games. It's a video game console, not some Media Player. My opinion is, stop showing us sports game, for me, it's not even a major video game on console, it's just a game for who loves sports, we want HALO, or whatever game that only exclusive on xbox and I hope there will be many awesome exclusive video games on xbox. Not just HALO. HALO is a cool game, though.
