I think Boons are just bad for the health of the game. They’re so powerful with no cost to them outside of time investment. Just compare them to deliverance or adrenaline and what it takes to activate both of those powerful perks

Deliverance rewards safe play, adrenaline rewards your squad for doing gens, and its most useful if you can survive chase with a killer. Boons? Press a button and boom you heal at the speed of light and can't be seen.

The only downside to boons are the unintended ones for solo queue players: survivor teammates who waste time running to a random spot on the map to heal or spend the entire game finding totems and reblessing the same ones the killer keeps snuffing.

0:48 quick tip, you are able to re-bind your controls on Controller to stop stuff like that from happening, as the button for pallet drops is the same as healing and bear traps, BUT you can re-bind it so that say, right stick drops pallets and right bumper heals. I did that (Albeit I play on PC) and when you get used to it it's 1000X better. IDK if you can do it on Console but I don't see why not.

The "fix" I want for Boons is that instead of just snuffing out the totem the Killer outright breaks it. That totem could be considered to be "cleansed" from the Boon so is already "dead". This would mean you only ever get one Boon per totem and would actually make Pentimento somewhat viable without having to run two other Hex Perks alongside it. Thanks for the video content Otz. @@H4elme Shattered Hope is just another "Nice idea" Perk that doesn't work. You take up a valuable Perk slot in the _hope_ that you run into Boons. And then every single game there isn't a boon you only have three Perks and Perks are _key_ to winning games. Having one less Perk sucks. And even if there is a Boon in play and you have Shattered Hope you still have to take time out of your patrol to find the boon and break it and on some maps you can't find the damn thing unless you've got every single totem spot memorized which I know some people do but there are people like me who just _can't_ do that because of memory issues. And even if you _do_ know every single available spot you might miss a few in your trip through the map and if you are spending all your time hunting the Boon you're not defending gens and hooking people. Shattered hope is not a fix or even a adhesive bandage for the problem that is Boon: Circle of Healing, and I make no mistake in that CoH is the _only_ problem Boon. Fix CoH and you fix the "Boon problem". Sure the other Boons might be annoying but they all _require_ the Killer to be nearby for them to be useful while CoH you can set up in the far corner of the map away from any gen and run to it every time you get hurt.
