I will be so sad seeing these come to an end. I hope you still live stream from time to time--I love your show but there's a part of your personality that comes out in the live streams that seems more real, and your enthusiasm for Japan has been energizing. See you in the sea!

After a particularly long and rough day, that first excited "I got a ride" made me smile. So for what it's worth sir, Thank you.

Seicomart. I have an aunt named Seiko. I haven't seen my Japanese family since I was 4. That was 50 years, ago. This has been a fascinating journey. Thank you.

I'm happy you got a ride & I got to pitch in a little on your last leg of the trip via superchat. John you're a great guy, and what a trip!!! I wish you the best.... hope you keep that last cardboard as a memory or give it to the person that helped you the most on your entire trip. it's been awesome following you on this epic journey. Hope you stream the arrival, but if not? I'm glad at least you will get to wakannai safely too on those last 39km. Thank you again for the awesome experience :)

Wow! Eventuellt I'm geting excited. I've been with you since you where ständig on the rocky shores outside, Yamagawa, was it? and it certainly made the time go faster and made me relaxa and confident abort my own trip. I'm flingor from Stockholm to Narita 10 juli (my Birthday) and then to Kagoshima. Then after couple of dags on Yakushima I'm starting my foot-hike to Tokyo, via Fukuoka, Hiroshima and Ise. I'm so grateful for having had the opportunity to follow your trip up north, and now I'm psyched for my own. Although I'm not going to hitch-hike since I don't speak or understand absolutely no japanese at all. Thanks again, and I hope you reach Soya-Misaki in time before you have to go home. Kõun.

@Three_Random_Words7 жыл бұрын
Same here. First attempt was with the 'here to here' feature on google maps by finding what was 39 km from Wakkanai on Hwy 40. Second attempt was finding Seicomart's in the area, but I wasn't sure of the spelling. So I looked up 'Hokkaido convenience store chain', then found the right store on g. maps.

CricketsBay Yes, Instagram is good but limited. If you want to know more about John, do a web search. Wow...!! an amazing guy....!! He is traveling life on his terms. We are so lucky to be able to watch. Say, if you want to travel the world..... get a job with an airline ....... you get what are called "travel privileges" that means you can get on any flight for almost free. Let me tell you. Fantastic !!!!!!!!!! 🌠 double worth it's weight in gold. Just do it. World travel is as good as it gets. 🎄🎇🎎 Go John Go...!!!!!! I'm from Columbus.

japan.stripes.com/base-info/yokota-opens-motorcycle-practice-range#sthash.bTGs57WZ.dpbs www.thejapanfaq.com/bikerfaq-classes.html www.koyama.co.jp/english.htm Always...ALWAYS take a Motorcycle Training School. Here in the USA, Motorcycle Safety Foundation not only trains people how to ride but also supply small motorcycles (125cc bikes) for those who don't have their own. Plus...if you have passed the written test and received your Learner's Permit (restrictive riding for 6 months max), the instructors will test your driving skills at the end of the course. When you pass that test, you basically have qualified for a motorcycle license. Take the certification into the Driver's License (different states have differently named offices), pay the fees, and you get your license! Hopefully something similar exists in Japan. Good luck and TQQdles™
