The Final Leg Of Heartbreak Hill - The Cheshire Locks - Rode Heath To Kidsgrove

This is my last leg of climbing back up the Cheshire Locks. In this episode, we travel from Rode Heath to just below the top lock at Kidsgrove. I stopped before the top lock because there are no sensible moorings after the lock and before the tunnel. This is also a great place to stop and refill the boat with provisions.

@@TrevsTravelsByNarrowboat Trey this how my grandparents describe these locks .. many years ago .. Perhaps they had friends that had Hart attacks when operating these locks . ???? Unfortunately they are not around anymore ..to ask why they they called it hart attack hill...???? After they past away my parents moved further south on the canal system... mainly due to my farther finding work in the boat yards there .. I would like to tell you something about my life on the canals ..as a marine engineer..I never had any time for myself to relax and take it easy..?? For years I would be darting from one job to another .. always under pressure .to get jobs done... Eventually it led to me having a massive stroke ..I am telling you this just incase you feel that you have to produce videos. Don't put yourself under pressure take time to relax and enjoy your life .. because you are only here once and there is no coming back... Stay safe and above all keep well.

Quadrophenia a great film also, me and my mates used to watch it a lot back in our youth - they say Quadrophenia is based on ‘Irish’ Jack Lyons and he lives in my hometown Cork, Ireland. An absolute gentleman I have met him on a few occasions. Still drives around on a scooter! 👍🏻
