Yeah, Ancient Cities are indeed extremely common under mountain ranges from what I've seen. I've found 3 separate cities under the same mountain range in my current world lol

I haven't found a single one, I've only looked like 10~ in my world because it's a Realm so my friend already sells Sculk but I've looked under every large Mountain and I've found Deep Dark but never a City, not sure if Bedrock is different or not, but after 1.20 I spent one afternoon flying around checking under every mountain I saw and never found single one, the chunks were new because my friend reset every chunk past 4000/-4000 on both X and Z coordinates

I was literally about to comment fundamentally the exact same thing. The spawn of my current SMP with friends, on 1.20 at least, is on a cherry grove mountain by a village. This village is surrounded on all sides by different types of mountains, all 4 of which have an Ancient City

Speaking of How Did We Get Here! Since the latest snapshots, you need all 6 new effects for it (raid omen, trial omen, weaving, oozing, infested, wind charged). If you want to see how to do it, well, I've made a quick tutorial.

@@rilesmcstyles780 Xisuma probably just read the changelog for 24w18a, which doesn't specify which effects are required. Changelog does simply mention that MC-269958 is fixed, but if you check that bug report, it does list all 6 effects, including omens. Xisuma is not working at Mojang and his overwievs might not always be perfect; you can watch slicedlime's overwievs for that, as slicedlime is in fact a Mojang employee.

When you consider the verticality of the mountain biomes, and the space needs of the ancient city caverns, the correlation _does_ make sense. Kinda related, but the jungle biomes need a bit of reworking, imo--the old jungle temples may well need updating to look less like it was made in 2011, but they haven't been generating all that frequently either because of all the sub-biomes eating up the outer reaches of a jungle biome's potential mass, which cuts into generation potential if there's just not enough space. They're _tiny_ recently! Has anyone else noticed that? Jungles are supposed to be this untamed sprawl of lushly dense biomass. Are we really supposed to be reflecting the continual loss of real-world rainforests right now? 🙃

A couple things, on Minecraft Bedrock there's even a tool tip while the world is loading that ancient cities spawn commonly under mountain ranges, and secondly all armor trims and the netherite template can be duplicated with 7 diamonds and their base block that it's made out of. So if someone wanted a full set of silence armor, all they would need is to find the silence trim once, and then duplicate it with 7 diamonds and cobbled depilate for each additional trim

Inside the ancient cities, you can just break the chests, rather than opening them. It's not as loud and won't set off the sensors

a important note is that the current snapshot has a bug where weapons with enchantments on e.g sharpness or smite will make mobs it effects unkillable. so smite sword wont kill anything undead...

It kind of seems that 1.21 experimental data pack was not applied when you downgraded to 1.20.6. The snapshot you used is the first for 1.21 so the data pack was removed in it which could explain that. Not sure how one would fix that when downgrading (perhaps data pack could be re-applied), but I guess we can also expect a new snapshot this week and I hope it fixes instamining and crafting bugs... it's been quite awful playing 24w18a snapshot.

You can get out of elytra mode while swimming AND equip your chest plate by right clicking your chestplate in your hotbar. It will swap it for elytra.

In order to fly out of dugout 1x1 hole, you need to look directly straight up, not on any walls. Then you can jump and rocket boost yourself from inside your hole.

You can take off and then put back on your elytra to get out of elytra mode. Also im pretty sure you can use fireworks underwater if you're in elytra mode for a quick escape

This. Also when you try standing on a block while in elytra mode (even underwater) it automatically disables it. I usually firework into ocean floor to disable elytra when hunting ruins.

The snapshot will let you dupe crafts that don't touch the top left corner of crafting.

If you want to repair your world, recreate a world with same seed on 1.20.5pre4 version and don't forget to turn on expremetal copy all the files from your old save except lvl data paste it to your new save and it will work and don't forget to put all the stuff you currently holding in chest, and I don't know any easy way but this is what worked for me.
