One of the BEST---on JUICE!! he said that he was sorry for ever playing football as he knew he wasn't that great a player and any hope he had to be in the NFL required his use of steroids--it cost him his life

In high school I was able to visit the Broncos after an open practice and I met Lyle Alzado. It was great!

from a 49er fan he was a bad ass like Ronnie Lott was those guys couldn't play today's football it's almost pathetic to watch but I do the elections are so wrong it's football too many rules

Almost by design, a Raider. Tragic later life overshadowed how dominant a player he was; and his pairing with Howie Long was beneficial to both. RIP

It's a shame he was older when they we're teammates..imagine them both in primes together.

I remember him. I have been a football fan for many years. No one even talks about him nowadays, as if he never existed. Such a shame.😢

Can you imagine if Lyle Alzado played his entire career with the Raiders? He would have been teammates with Jack Tatum and John Matuzak. Truly frightening scenario.
@rickhamel736 күн бұрын
When I was about 10 and Lyle was playing for the Browns, my friends family had a sporting goods store and Lyle made a few appearances. He would spend extra time goofing around with us kids and playing 1 on 3 football in the store against us. Yeah, I can say I’ve been “tackled” by Lyle Alzado 😂. The man wasn’t a perfect angel but he definitely had a kind spot in his heart and those are some great memories

I went to Lawrence HS and he played on the HS field the very same way. I had just came to this country, attended Lawrence when Lyle Alzado played for the Golden Tornados, his coach was Mr. Molatto. He paid a terrible price.

I respected Lyle because at the end of his life, with his internal organs riddled with cancer tumors, he warned kids to not do what he did- take steroids and end up killing yourself with cancer.
@davidvenesky90536 күн бұрын
That is the football I used to enjoy watching. I HATE todays NFL and have not watched a game in 2 years.

@roryslaine78962 күн бұрын
What? So people aren't allowed to change? Yea, it's unfortunate that's what it takes for some people to change but it is what it is. You sound like the type of arsehole who thinks you shouldn't be allowed to vote because you got busted for having weed when you were 19 😂

His brain tumor had nothing to do with steroids. Stop spreading baseless, crap, and ridiculous imbecile rumors! It really takes away from the credibility of everything else you had to say!

@WilliamStonich7 күн бұрын
I always questioned he died simply from Steroids. I do know he was also using GH (which is a separate substance than AAS) and possibly the quality was questionable.
