I have been a hardcore snowboarder for 20 years now, spending about 30 days a year in the snow. I have done some REAAAALLY fast speed runs 72mph+ and some gnarly drops and hucks. You did REALLY well. You were honest with yourself and enjoyed the "stress' of the steep areas and completed the rides. Reminded me when I did the Grizzly Downhill (Groomed) as a speed run in Snowbasin. I was (OF COURSE) nowhere near the Olympic run times, but I gave it 100% and ran it at 95% speed. LOL....I didn't want a wheelchair. PS: The Green/Blue/Black/DoubleBlack are relative to the mountain. That green trail doesnt look so "green" to someone that has never been to any non-XC terrain. Loved the video. Sub

Managing risk at 50 is a serious thing. And when you have a timing chip on your wrist it definitely changes things.

Great Job Shane, as a senior myself Jarrod's Place Stage 2 took me out last year (2022) and I see this year they have that drop ropped off, plus the rain did not help. I need to learn to ride more like you. Your a great inspiration.

When you start smelling brakes you know you have some pace. Keep up the good work. I’m a fiddy yr old ga boy & slow Mtn biker and this is good motivation bc you look a lot faster than me.

Thank you! Yeah I just stay at it and keep plugging away, but I'm having fun the whole time!
