I always enjoy seeing your work. I have an off subject question. I have to make some earrings for my sister-in-law. The design involves some straight lines. Last time I tried doing "sort of" straight lines the silver flat wire I was using either fell or got pulled over flat. Do you know a way to keep my flat wire standing on edge while making a straight line in the design? Do you know what I mean?

I know exactly what you were talking about! Straight lines can be challenging for sure. One way to solve the problem is to make a compound shape that includes the straight line still attached to another shape that will hold it in place. Also, if you’re doing cloisonné, you can make a U-shaped of two straight lines Where the connector bit hangs off the piece and then after firing it in place trimming off the extra. Good luck!

@@sandramcewen It's a cloisonné piece(s). Some earrings for my sister in law. I think I'll take your first suggestion. I'll do a little redesign and make the lines a compound shape.Thanks. I appreciate you getting back to me.

It's a slurry of fine pumice powder and water... :)
