Yes a bit sad but hope to buy a new and bigger one in 2022. The hard part is to find one there has the right design, the right age and to a affordable price. A boat there is to old can be a economic ruin and one there is to new can also be bad due to loss of value in the years of ownership.

How is the search going for your next boat?

I'm considering different boats, also looking at the Vanquish Pilot Saloon 40 which is in a more expensive class compared with the production class boats as Bavaria, Beneteau, Jeanneau, Hanse and so. The main problem is the annual expenses for insurance, no need to buy a boat there will be crazy expensive to own through the years.

@@twiper noticed that you mentioned high insurance expenses before, but is insurance so much more? I can imagine mooring costs, maintenance and depreciation being a lot more expensive but did not imagine insurance costing so much more (at least relatively to the aforementioned). My perspective is a modest 2006 Hanse 315 ;)
