You won’t care after a week. Anyone who plays 3v3 even on a small court knows it does not work full court. It turns into nothing but endless fast break layups because the position you play on offense for 3v3 always allows the defense to have 2 rebound and one break for a long outlet pass while the 3rd offensive player needs to crash the board to try and outnumber the 2 defenders. If they try to run back with the fast break player they just foul them. That is why 3v3 has always been a half court game. Its stature doesn’t work full court at all. Its the game you play when you don’t have enough players to form a team for full court games

Last season, Angel was shooting 11% from 5 feet to 9 feet under the basket. Lexie Hull averaged just over 5 points a game. Rae Burrell scored just under 6 points. Out of the 36 players, over 20 of them will be mediocre at best. Starting in January up against the NFL, NBA, and NHL in an untested 3 on 3 game in front of 850 fans. This league is doomed to fail.

Regarding Brink, I'm confused that Plum, according to Plum, decides to step out of Unrivaled for this season with plans to play there next season, and she is removed from the league roster, yet Brink joins with no plans to play this year, and she holds a roster spot.

With Clark not playing in Unrivaled and all the other good players except for Aja playing, I think it gives the impression of being the princess and "I'm too good to go hang with the other girls". This may be a detriment when it comes to trying to get a good free agent like Satou to the Fever. She's not giving any of these other players that the Fever need the opportunity to get to know her and see how good she is to play with. Plus taking 9 months off from playing competitive basketball might mean lots of rust come May

She’s coming off not just the worst shooting performance of all-time, by far, in a big time basketball game (men or women) it’s also up there for the worst shooting game in ANY professional basketball contest EVER. She needs some good publicity and to be able to wash that memory from the minds of fans before she makes an appearance in NBA All-Star Weekend. Not watching Unrivaled, but this is a good move for her.

From what I read, the recovery on that procedure is about 4 weeks and she had the procedure 2 weeks ago. My guess is this wild card was reserved for her and they were waiting to see how the surgery and recovery was going.

I'll be surprised if most of these teams even get more than a week of practice before suddenly having to go full boar chasing all the smallest pipsqueaks of the league non stop up and down the court. They'll need all 6 players just to stave off exhaustion, maybe even oxygen tanks for some. Brittney Griner, "Big Mama"and Angel Reese will probably all eventually just stay at halfcourt and not even join the few offensive sets because it'll mostly be the Mighty Mouses of the league dictating the pace. There's going to be winded players tripping and falling over each other, ankles turning, players cramping up, and it'll be an absolute disaster for viewers thinking this would be great basketball.
