Hey Gus, enjoying your videos and adventuring! I think it would be great if between these long videos you did some short videos keeping us up to date on more recent things you're doing. Even if it's just a couple minutes long. The long videos are from a few months ago and maybe a video a week or every couple of weeks giving us updates would be awesome. I don't think we would even mind if it's just you talking into the camera. Could be a good way to get more exposure to your channel as well!

How did you start learning all the things you need to know about working on boats? Was it just a case of being a diesel mechanic and giving all the other jobs a go?

When cruising off shore what are the wind wave conditions you look for (or what do you see when you say No to offshore)? You don’t have stabilizer right? Issue ? Thx !!

Bluepoints Marina at Port Canaveral should be embarrassed at their show of gratitude for your business. I'm 70+ and admire your drive and energy. Working together with Frosty sailing down the whole East Coast in winter as you've done.

Bluepoints marina is on it's way out. Thier lease has been bought back by the port authority to put in another cruise terminal so they do not care how they treat customers. It is a shame because they were a class "A" marina.

Frosty makes for good entertainment. Gus did all the work offshore in the Summer/Fall so he's had less problems. The channel would have been less interesting without Frosty. Remember when Gus had to go underwater in freezing waters to fix Frosty? Epic!

Gus is a good example of what a young man who was raised correctly by his parents should be like. He is very intelligent and very skilled at all types of marine stuff. He is also polite, considerate and displays good manners. Most young men of his age group are rude and disrespectful, however Gus is not. I am sure that his parents are very proud of him.

I couldn’t imagine undertaking all you’ve accomplished in your young life. I’m sure your parents couldn’t be prouder. You are blessed and we are blessed to live in your shadow.

I was lucky enough to see a space shuttle launch from the water. I drove from California to Dayton Beach for Daytona bike week and after bike week I went to West Palm Beach to have paint work repaired on a show bike. I heard about the launch of STS-119 and I was telling a buddy how it would be cool to see the launch and he said lets his new boat up to the cape to see the launch and I didn't what he had for a boat. We go down to the dock and I see a brand new 4000hp twin turbine power Nor Tech 47' cat ready to go. That was a fun experience and it was an evening launch so it was getting dark.

My wife and I almost had a collision and probably serious injury or death when I did an engine room check and didn't insist my wife be at the helm. She did get up after a few minutes and came banging on the engine room door. A shrimp boat was coming towards the port side of our boat with his arms out no less. I hit jog on the autopilot and we missed it but it was a very close call! And there was no one at the helm of the shrimp boat either! This happened on a very calm day too. Please don't leave the helm without a watch and if that's not possible at least take it out of gear.

They're actually riding the pressure wave under the surface that the front of a fast moving boat creates. They're not swimming, they're riding it like we humans do when we surf on a surfboard above the surface. You'll notice their tail fins aren't really moving much. They're just having a fun ride. Smart guys.

Hello, This is the best episode YET. Your cruser is looking great, compaired to the pick-up! You have done a fine recondishing job by yourself; the bilge area impressed me; cleaned and painted, most or all hoses have been replaced and hose ends fitted well, wiring routed and terminated well and I'll bet you did at least a good diesel tune-up, decient new electronics and I'll bet you thank God that you repaired or replaced the windless!!!! Bet your buddy will add one soon, too!!! Loved the rocket launch in Cape Canaveral, I'm 71 and you took me back to my Collage Days! I went to Daytona Beach for Collage in the early 70's. Five of us rode our motor cycles down to see the last launch of Americas Saturn V, the largest rocket that America ever made..probably 5+ times larger than the big one you saw. It was supposed to lift off at 5:30pm and kept getting pushed back about every 2 hours...it finally lit up and lift off was 2:00am, it was a long ride back to Daytona...we graduated that next day!!! This was absolutely the most astounding experience I ever have had in my life!!! When it lit up, it was absolute daylight for 20 miles and took a 20 second burn before it left the launching pad, when it was high overhead, was when we experienced the awsome feeling of man's man made POWER, with the tremendus fierce roar of the engines "Crackeling" power that we felt in our chests, just deaffening!!!! And we were no closer than 5 miles from the pad. I have had 5 large boats 30' to 42', moored in various marinas on the eastern shores of Lake Michigan and in Charleston, SC. You should have skipped Savannah and spent more time in Charleston; its about 5 times the size port and town as Savannah. Many historic points of interest, it's older and was much more important durring our nations youth, to history it was much more important to the South's economy and development than even Atlanta..... and the historic Downtown area ROCKS!!! You should be PROUD, young MAN, you have acconplished so much more this far in life than the typical less than 35 year old, today!!! I'll bet your parents are PROUD of their SON, too! I'll predict a great life out there in front of you!!!! KUDOS'
