I think the sudden wank of the Admirals is because people realize that Luffy beating Kaido is going to completely destroy the powerscale. Even if the admirals are indeed comparable to the yonko, post-Wano there will be no one who Luffy cannot mid-diff. People now NEED the Admirals to be at least Yonko Level or else their fights are going to be pointless and easy for the monster trio. That's why now everyone is accepting the theory that the Gorosei are fighters and that they are several times stronger than a Yonko; because deep down everyone can tell that Luffy's growth rate is going to lead to an anti-climatic ending.

It's not like Luffy is going to be able to one shot them or something. If Luffy is 100 then Zoro is probably anywhere from 90-95 with Sanji being around like 87-92 depending on who you ask.

To be honest I think the monster trio needs to be even stronger. Defining the One Piece starts a war at engulfs the entire world then they need to be even stronger if they want to win a fight that involves the entire world. Which is why I don't mind having Yamato joined the crew, the straw hats need to be even stronger to be able to challenge the world and to be able to win.

I totally see the monster trio 1v1ing an admiral each in a future war...and I would *want* this encounter to be the most one sided of the future fights. Apart from Straw Hats vs World Government/Navy we may still get Straw Hats vs Red Haired Pirates and definetly Straw Hats vs Black Beard crew and one of these up to three big fights should definetly be convincing. And I would say it would be most fitting for the WG to be that fight...maybe after Luffy becomes King of Pirates (and after Zoro beats Mihawk and Sanji gets a girlfriend) would be a good time for a breather arc to have the Straw Hats practically overwhealm the last enemy and convincingly end their reign. I find the idea of Luffy easily defeating Sakazuki so much more pleasing than a traditional boss fight...I want to see Akainu shit his pants, which would then justify why he was so desperate to annihlilate Luffy when he had the chance at Marineford.

I agree. Every single member of the Straw Hat Pirates needs to level up in their own way, mentally, physically, and spiritually. This is the only way they will all be able to survive that massive end of story war Whitebeard talked about in his speech which means the comedy needs to be dialed back for Nami, Usopp and Chopper. Zoro and Sani are part of the monster trio, but Sanji must naturally evolve from the 100% Chivalrous liability that he is when he won't engage the enemy due to his warped perception of gender. Jinbe, Robin, Brook and Franky really need to improve because they are very useful and lethal in battle when they have time to shine. Lastly Usopp, Nami and Chopper are like comedic pieces used to allow the reader to breath at the expense of the characters because they're goofy as shit and we know they can have their badass moments with proper training. I don't care if Nami's the navigator she'll be following a map to heaven if all she can do is cry while Ulti headbutts her with the force of god. Usopp is a scared piece of fucking shit and needs that mental growth along with some more tools at his disposal, in order to be a brave warrior of the sea he's going to have to encounter a strong opponent and not run away are use any other of his bullshit tricks. His actions recently shine through, same thing he did when he stood up to Lucci. Chopper is a great doctor and very cute, but he could use some martial art training along with another rumble ball transformation. The World Government, The Admirals, The Navy, Cipher Pol, Im, The Blackbeard Pirates...that's a lot of power. Lastly, some of the fanbase needs to sit down and relax because whenever someone mentions the fights they jump up, tighten their thong and unleash hell on the poor soul that dared to comment about something so "absurd", like they don't know this is a manga published in a Shonen Magazine. The worldbuilding is legendary, however I get sick and tired of pointless clashes all the time along with 1,000 new characters each arc. If Oda can do all that, I pretty sure he can focus on devoting a few chapters to some key players in these conflicts. Hell, he's doing that right now so it's possible.

Don't forget that he had to deliberately train his observation just to get into the same playing ground as Kata. Even when Luffy use snakeman with higher level of observation haki, Katakuri still managed to outpaced him several times. He even dodged point blank Snakeman attack..

Also, Akainu possibly used future sight to see and dodge Marco and Vistas armament haki attacks, since we have been practically told that by Oda through Katakuri achieving the same feat using future sight. If Akainu and Kaido have it, I see no reason why Kizaru would not have it. Kings downplay of the Admirals is ridiculous, especially when you combine it with his assertions on Boa and where she stands in the power rankings.

If Rayleigh trained Luffy for the two entire years he'd likely come fresh out the timeskip with advanced armament or something, but Rayleigh knew that beyond the basics he can't teach Luffy much since haki blooms in the heat of battle, not training.

@@Syakirin57 my argument to this is that it’s a devil fruit. For all we know he could be potentially costing bits and pieces with Haki. (Although that’s unlikely because it’s not pointed out) Or just the fact that devil fruits work differently in the one piece verse, so metal under the influence of his devil fruit is fortified or something. To me that’s not too far fetched. Plus I really do think Oda is trying to play up that Kidd and Law are on the same level, and not far behind Luffy. They are just doing it through another avenue. Plus I wanna believe that Kidd is gonna have some sort of Haki bloom, making his own sub genre of Haki kinda like katakuri with future sight, or just straight up conqueres. Either way I just think he needs a win, otherwise there just wouldn’t be a point. I’m sorry to go on and on, but I also think Oda mad Kidd realize his short comings and the fact that he’s faced with one of his dreams (taking down a yonko) for a reason.

The thing is that even when King stayed in flame form he was still avoiding and blocking Zoro's attacks because he knew they would still hurt, and Zoro broke his haki-clad meito and his wing when he defeated him, showcasing that Zoro would of been the victor regardless of King's tactics since at that point he'd have no way of protecting himself. i feel like Sanji's fight was about himself coming to terms with shit and evolving as a person and when he did Queen was just a little pebble in his way. Zoro's fight was like Luffy's fight with Katakuri but faster as with conquers coating zoro is stronger than wholecake island luffy so he got his 11 hours haki bloom fight later and thus did not need as long to figure shit out. Now Sanji did pass out as well after his fight bu if he was evolved from the start and both start fresh, Sanji is mid diffing queen imo. Just like Zoro is mid diffing King if they both start fresh but zoro has learned what he did learn already. If they fought fresh it would have been like in enies lobby how zoro and sanji kept fighting marines after their battle. But this time they had that battle before their main. Also on the topic of zoro pushing away King. I found it quite obvious that When King first does it, Zoro can't really do anything about it. but directly after Zoro learns Coc he pushes him away with a "conquers" eye panel. Future sight takes care of that plus the guides in One piece confirmed that in order to combat Kizaru you need to be proficient in observation haki, hence Marco was able to react to him in marineford despite not having future sight. The pressure conquerors haki emits could be the spirit manifesting physically. The closer to the conqueror, the more potent the haki and the more the spirit can physically manifest. If so, two physical objects cannot occupy the same space. Maybe the internal damage being inflicted is Luffy's conqueror's haki trying to occupy the same physical space as Kaido's body, destroying it in the process.

Kizaru is so underestimated these days so I'll put some points out. 1. Kizaru can't travel at our scientific speed of light. Kizaru eating the light light fruit and him traveling at the speed of light are different. It's very clear in sabaody when he chased after apoo and Rayleigh could catch up to him. And from the way he regenerates after getting broken in half tells us about it. From the way he regenerated, we were able to see the light particles slowly regenerating. Hope that point got through. 2. Now, the admirals in general were first presented as gg logia fruit users. And when the crew could use haki, we had this feeling that the crew could deal with an admiral now cos they can hurt them now. I want everyone reading this to perish that thought or else aokiji would have a hole in his stomach from wb's blade. 3. The admirals are physically on par with PPL like garp and sengoku. Their builds are distracting us from this but they are physically super well trained as well. 4. Now for our light boi kizaru, his light blasts do quite the huge damage in the form of boom booms. He probably had a df awakening or somewhere close to that considering he's quite old and he must be quite well trained with his fruit. 5. Everyone says Rayleigh claps kizaru even at sabaody but this is just pure Rayleigh fanboying. In social media, i use Rayleigh pfp so yes, I'm a fan of him but I won't be biased. He was clearly out of breath when he fought kizaru and kizaru was full of energy. Says quite a lot about the admirals against the old generation doesn't it? Old legends are old legends and we know this cos we've seen them fight in their prime. Even if the admirals aren't comparable to their prime, they are pretty damn close. Would be a hard fought battle. 6. Remember when akainu faced off against the WB pirates after WB died? Man stood Olin front of haki users and I still didn't think he would lose. Much to my disliking, he didn't get hurt much at all even after taking all that damage from WB when he faced against Marco Vista and other commanders. All I'm saying is the yonkos and their commanders are strong men but they are still inthe one piece world where strong men come and go pretty much everywhere. Do not, i repeat, DO NOT underestimate anyone when thinking about matchups

Here’s the thing right, I feel like Luffy wouldn’t really want to rely on hardening when he’s made of rubber, regardless if the attack hurts, him being rubber tremendously lowers the impact of all attacks that aren’t swords or heat attacks. I think people give Enma too much credit. Enma drew out Zoro’s conqueror’s haki but what difference did it make in this fight? None other than make conqueror’s official for Zoro. Shusui would have taken King down too. It was a black blade with massive power. The issue Zoro had was not knowing how to damage King. He figured it out eventually which means Enma is inconsequential. He could cut King with or without it.
